カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)南米予選第16節の全5試合が1日に行われた。

今節の注目カードは、3位エクアドル代表と4位ペルー代表による上位対決。前節にブラジル代表と引き分けを演じたエクアドルは開始2分、最終ラインのDFフェリックス・トーレスからのロングフィードに抜け出したMFミカエル・エストラーダが、ボックス中央で見事なトラップからゴールへ流し込み、幸先よく先制する。
前半にもう一つ決定機を迎えたアウェイのエクアドルは、後半に入っても攻勢を続けて立て続けに2度のビッグチャンスを作る。しかし、ホームの声援を背に反撃に出るペルーは69分、ボックス右で粘り強くボールを繋いでDFルイス・アドビンクラがクロスを上げると、途中出場のFWエディソン・フローレスが頭で押し込み同点に。

結局試合はこのまま終了。注目の一線は痛み分けとなった。

一方、トップ4入りを目指すウルグアイ代表はホームにベネズエラ代表を迎えた。ディエゴ・アロンソ新監督の初陣となった前節のパラグアイ代表戦で白星を挙げた南米の雄は、この日も開始1分に、今冬の移籍市場でトッテナムへ新天地を求めたMFロドリゴ・ベンタンクールがゴールを決める快調な立ち上がりに。
さらに1点追加して迎えた前半アディショナルタイムには、ゴール前のこぼれ球をFWエディンソン・カバーニがバイシクルシュートで押し込んで3点目。後半にはFWルイス・スアレスがPKを決めて大量4点のリードを得る。

その後、1点を返されたものの、ウルグアイが4-1で快勝。ペルーをかわして4位に浮上した。

サプライヤーなしのウルグアイ代表が新ユニフォームを発表!男女平等促進のため紫色も取り入れた史上初のデザインに

元カメルーン代表MFが交通事故死…2度のW杯出場を果たしたエングエモ氏が38歳で他界

「僕のプレーをしたかった」とミャンマー戦で反省。「もっと自己中になっていい」と本拠地で奮起を期す広島の看板・川村拓夢【新しい景色へ導く期待の選手/vol.43】

サプライヤーなしのウルグアイ代表が新ユニフォームを発表!男女平等促進のため紫色も取り入れた史上初のデザインに

“つり目”ポーズのU-20ウルグアイ代表MFバルベルデが人種差別を否定も謝罪

▽韓国で行われているFIFA U-20ワールドカップにおいて、人種差別的なジェスチャーをしたとされたレアル・マドリーのU-20ウルグアイ代表MFフェデリコ・バルベルデだが、これを否定した。イギリス『BBC』が報じた。 ▽ウルグアイは、準々決勝でU-20ポルトガル代表と対戦。120分間を終えて2-2のドローとなり、PK戦までもつれた試合を5-4で制したウルグアイが、ベスト4に勝ち進んだ。 ▽この試合でPKによる同点ゴールを決めたバルベルデが、目尻を釣り上げるゴールパフォーマンスを行っていた。このことが問題視され、アジア人に対する差別だと騒がれていたが、本人が否定した。 「これは人種差別的なセレブレーションではなく、友人のための個人的なお祝いだった」 「人種差別的な意図はなかったけど、僕は謝罪したい」 ▽“つり目”のパフォーマンスは最近問題になることが多く、中国スーパーリーグの河北華夏に所属するアルゼンチン代表FWエセキエル・ラベッシがクラブの写真で同様のポーズをして謝罪。また、バレーボールのセルビア女子代表チームも日本での大会出場権を獲得したことに対して同様のポーズを取り、批判を受けて謝罪する事態が起きていた。 2017.06.06 12:34 Tue

「美しい」「たまらない」ウルグアイ代表が記念ユニフォームを発表!五輪初優勝から100周年「サプライヤーなしの方がいいじゃないか」
