元イングランド代表MFデイビッド・ベッカム氏の次男であるロメオ・ベッカム(19)とプーマは、スポンサー契約を締結したことを発表した。

ロメオ・ベッカムは9月にUSLリーグ・ワン(アメリカ3部)のフォート・ローダデールと初めてプロ契約。フォート・ローダデールとは、ベッカム氏がオーナーを務めるインテル・マイアミのリザーブチームだ。

イギリス『サン』によると、ロメオ・ベッカムは来シーズンからプーマのスパイク「フューチャーZ」を着用する予定。新たな相棒への期待を語っている。

「『フューチャーZ』は僕のプレーに完璧にマッチしている。軽いから、自分の速さと敏捷性を生かすことができる。そして、驚くほどにボールを掴んでくれるから、ドリブルやパスを効果的に行うことができるんだ」

また、夜空の中でピッチを照らす投光器からインスピレーションを得た大胆なカラーリングの「UNDER THE LIGHT(アンダー・ザ・ライト) PACK」についてもそのデザインを気に入っているようだ。

「アンダー・ザ・ライトのカラーは、僕の情熱であるファッションとサッカーを融合させていて、とても気に入っているんだ」

父親のベッカム氏は、アディダスと生涯契約を結んでいるが、ロメオ・ベッカムは別の道を選んだようだ。それでも、ベッカム氏は自身のインスタグラムのストーリーズにて、息子の投稿を引用する形で、拍手の絵文字を送っている。

ロナウドが日韓W杯での“大五郎カット”を謝罪、奇抜な髪型の裏事情とは?
