クロアチア代表、ダリッチ監督と2024年まで契約延長!

クロアチアサッカー連盟(HNS)は8日、ズラトコ・ダリッチ監督(55)と2024年まで契約を延長したことを発表した。

サウジアラビアのアル・ヒラルや、UAEのアル・アインなど中東アジアでの指導歴もあるダリッチ監督は、2017年10月に母国の代表監督に就任した。

プレーオフを勝ち抜いて出場した2018年のワールドカップ(W杯)では、グループステージでアルゼンチン代表を下すなど3連勝で決勝トーナメント進出。その1回戦でデンマーク代表、準々決勝で開催国のロシア代表、準決勝でイングランド代表を下し、同国史上初の決勝進出に導いた。

決勝ではフランス代表に2-4で敗れてしまったものの、クロアチアを史上最高位に導いた手腕は高く評価され、同年のFIFA最優秀監督賞の最終候補3名に選出された。

その後のUEFAネーションズリーグでは結果を残せなかったものの、今夏開催のユーロ2020ではベスト16へ進出。また、カタールW杯への切符も無事に勝ち取っていた。

2020年夏にカタールW杯までの契約を結んでいたが、この度、さらに2024年のユーロまで指揮を執ることが決定した。
