チェルシーのドイツ代表MFカイ・ハヴァーツが母国の復活について語った。
ドイツ代表は2014年のブラジル・ワールドカップ(W杯)と2017年のコンフェデレーションズカップで優勝を果たし、黄金期を迎えた。しかし、その後はユーロ2016で準決勝敗退、2018年のロシアW杯でグループステージ敗退と思うような成績を残せていない。
ハヴァーツ自身は19歳で2018年9月にA代表デビュー。先のユーロ2020でも4試合で2ゴールを決める活躍を見せたが、チームはイングランド代表に敗れてラウンド16で姿を消している。
そんな中、ドイツ『ビルト』のインタビューで、2022年に開催されるカタールW杯の優勝に向けて必要なことを聞かれると、近年の代表の低迷に触れつつも、世界王者の奪還に自信をのぞかせた。

「生涯忘れられない思い出」アーセナル移籍のハヴァーツがチェルシーに感謝…一方、手紙での別れに苛立ち「このような形は腹立たしい」

アーセナルがスペイン代表GKラヤと長期契約で大筋合意、移籍金73億円設定のブレントフォードとの交渉へ
