ゼニトFWマウコムが再招集で五輪へ!一時はクラブの招集拒否でメンバー外に…

ブラジルサッカー連盟(CBF)は15日、ゼニトに所属するFWマウコムを東京オリンピックに参加するU-24ブラジル代表に追加招集したことを発表した。

マウコムは6月17日に発表されたU-24ブラジル代表の登録メンバー18名に名を連ねていたが、所属先のゼニトが同選手の招集を拒否したため、登録メンバーから外れていた。

しかし、U-24ブラジル代表ではセルビアでのキャンプ中にPAOKに所属するMFドウグラス・アウグストが太ももを負傷し、代表を離脱。これを受け、アンドレ・ジャーディン監督はマウコムの再招集を決断。そして、ゼニトがこの申し出を受け入れた形だ。

U-24ドイツ代表やU-24コートジボワール代表、U-24サウジアラビア代表が同居するグループDに属するU-24ブラジルは、22日にドイツ、25日にコートジボワールと、28日にサウジアラビアと対戦する。
