新井は東京ヴェルディ、川崎フロンターレでプレーした後、今シーズンから千葉に加入。明治安田J2では全42試合に出場し、守護神として活躍していた。
新井はクラブを通じてコメントしている。

北九州が千葉から2選手獲得! DF乾貴哉を完全移籍で、DF本村武揚を期限付き移籍で獲得
