UEFAネーションズリーグ2020-21 リーグA グループ3第3節のクロアチア代表vsスウェーデン代表が11日に行われ、2-1でクロアチアが勝利した。
ポルトガル代表、フランス代表が同居しているグループ3で、2連敗スタートのクロアチアとスウェーデンの一戦。
モドリッチやブロゾビッチ、ペリシッチらがスタメンとなったクロアチアと、フォルスベリやクルゼフスキがスタメンとなったスウェーデンの試合は、クロアチアがポゼッションする展開で推移していく。
2トップにペリシッチとブレカロ、トップ下にモドリッチを据える[4-4-2]で臨んだクロアチアは、10分にCKの流れからブレカロがネットを揺らすもオフサイドに阻まれる。さらに18分にはモドリッチがボックス左からGK強襲のシュートを浴びせた。
すると31分にゴールを奪いきった。モドリッチのパスカットを起点に、ペリシッチが左サイドを持ち上がってクロス。これを受けたブレカロが落とし、最後はボックス右のヴラシッチが蹴り込んだ。
しかし66分、スウェーデンがワンチャンスで追いつく。右サイドからの崩しでルスティグ、フォルスベリと繫ぎ、最後はボックス左のベリが蹴り込んだ。

UNLファイナルズ控えるクロアチア代表に痛手…グヴァルディオルが負傷離脱

「史上最悪」「恥ずかしい」伝統の市松模様が史上最大サイズになったクロアチアの新ユニフォームには酷評の嵐「これ以上酷いものは見たことがない」
