メキシコ代表FWラウール・ヒメネス(29)がウォルバーハンプトンに対する満足感を口にしつつ、将来的な移籍にオープンな姿勢を示した。イギリス『Tribal Football』が報じている。

2018年夏からウォルバーハンプトンでプレーするヒメネスは初年度からストライカーとしての地位を確立。昨季は前年に続いてプレミアリーグで二桁得点をマークしてみせ、公式戦55試合27得点の活躍を披露した。

そうした活躍ぶりを受けて今夏にマンチェスター・ユナイテッドらの関心が取り沙汰されたが、ウォルバーハンプトンの一員としてシーズンインした今季もリーグ開幕から2試合連発中と上々のスタートを切った。
しかし、ヒメネスには欧州最高峰の舞台であるチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)でプレーしたい思いもあるようだ。ロンドンにあるメキシコ大使館のイベントで将来について、こう述べた。

「まだ3年契約がある。この先もウルブスに残れるのなら、ハッピーだ。でも、何が起こったり、変化もあるかもしれないのもわかっている。僕はすべてにオープンだ」
「すでにCLの何試合かでプレーする幸運に恵まれ、インクレディブルだった。またプレーするのは僕のプランにあるが、まずはウルブスですべきことをやらないとね」

フレッチャー氏の双子の息子がユナイテッドとプロ契約 シティのアカデミーから昨夏加入

伝説のGKカーンが語る意外な後悔「あそこに移籍すれば良かった」

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす

「絶対に謝らない」ハーランド父に復讐したロイ・キーンが“報復”タックルを否定
