岡崎慎司がeスポーツの世界大会に出場「毎日を前向きに過ごしてもらえたら」

日本サッカー協会は20日、サッカーe日本代表のWeb Nasriとウエスカに所属する日本代表FW岡崎慎司が「FIFA eNations StayAndPlay Cup」に出場することを発表した。

「FIFA eNations StayAndPlay Cup」は、4月21日(火)から25日(土)までオンラインで行われ、44カ国・地域の代表選手が参加するeスポーツのチャリティー大会。新型コロナウイルス(COVID-19)感染拡大防止のために多くのサッカーの大会やイベントが中止や延期となっている今、家の中でもサッカー観戦を楽しんで貰いたいという趣旨のもと、各国のサッカーe代表選手と現役のサッカー選手や著名人がタッグを組んで行われるものだ。

今大会は、参加国を「WEST」「CENTERAL」「EAST」の 3 地域に分けて実施。グループステージ、ノックアウトステー
ジを経て、勝ち上がったチームがファイナルに進出する。

日本代表は21日にマレーシアと対戦。22日にチャイニーズ・タイペイと対戦する。なお、Web Nasri、岡崎共に試合を行う。

なお、Web Nasriはサッカーe日本代表として初の国際試合出場となり、岡崎は本大会における「JFA eスポーツアンバサダー」として出場する。

岡崎慎司に続き、レスター“奇跡の優勝”メンバーがまたも引退決断…アンディ・キングが幼少期からファンだったクラブでプロキャリアに終止符「これが完璧な引退の仕方」

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン
