UEFA(欧州サッカー連盟)は15日、2018-19シーズンの年間最優秀選手賞の最終候補3名を発表した。
2018-19シーズンの男子の最終候補は、バルセロナのアルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシ、ユベントスのポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウド、リバプールのオランダ代表DFヴィルヒル・ファン・ダイクの3名となった。
最終候補は、2018-19シーズンのUEFAチャンピオンズリーグ(UCL)のグループステージに出場した32チーム、およびUEFAヨーロッパリーグ(UEL)のグループステージに参加した48チームの合計80名の監督に加え、55人のジャーナリストが審査員となる。
それぞれが3選手を選び、1位に5ポイント、2位に3ポイント、3位が1ポイントを獲得。なお、監督は自チームの選手には投票できない。
UEFAは3名の最終候補について、それぞれ紹介している。

メッシと妻は30年来の仲、幼馴染の2人が結ばれW杯で優勝するまで

メッシ 大好きなマテ茶のストローは7万円超えの特別仕様
