エバートンは1日、イングランド人DFメイソン・ホルゲイト(23)がチャンピオンシップ(イングランド2部)のWBAに今季終了までのレンタルで移籍することを発表した。
2015年8月にバーンズリーからエバートンに加入したセンターバック兼右サイドバックのホルゲイトは、2016年8月にプレミアリーグデビュー。これまでエバートンで公式戦48試合に出場していたが、今季はリーグ戦5試合の出場に留まっていた。
昨季、2部に降格したWBAは25試合を終えてチャンピオンシップで3位に位置している。
