▽日本サッカー協会(JFA)は16日、なでしこジャパンが7月下旬にスウェーデン遠征を行うことを発表した。なお、7月21日にはスウェーデン女子代表と国際親善試合で対戦する。
▽高倉麻子監督が率いるなでしこジャパンは、6月にアメリカ遠征を行い、世界女王のアメリカ女子代表と2試合を実施。1試合目はドローに終わり、2試合目は雷雨のため試合途中で中止となっていた。
▽スウェーデンは、8月に行われるリオ・デ・ジャネイロ五輪に出場。欧州予選で優勝し6大会連続で五輪に出場する強豪国だ。なお、24日にはスウェーデン女子リーグのクリスティアンスタッドDFFと練習試合を行う。高倉監督のコメントは以下のとおり。

「今までで最も酷い」「複雑な気持ち」太陽をイメージしたスウェーデン代表の新ユニフォームが大不評「一体どうすればこんなにも間違うのか」
