▽リーベル・プレートは3日、元アルゼンチン代表DFホナタン・マイダナ(30)と新契約を結んだと発表した。新契約は4年契約となる。
▽マイダナは、2005年からボカ・ジュニアーズでプレーすると、2008年にはウクライナのメタリストに移籍し欧州デビュー。2010年1月にバンフィエルドへとレンタル移籍し、翌シーズンからリーベル・プレートに完全移籍で加入した。
▽ボカ・ジュニアーズ時代にはU-20、U-23のアルゼンチン代表にも招集され、2008年の北京五輪に向けたメンバー候補にも選出されていたが、本大会メンバーには選ばれなかった。2011年にはアルゼンチン代表デビューも果たしている。
▽リーベル・プレートは、10日に開幕するFIFAクラブ・ワールドカップ ジャパン 2015に初出場。マイダナも来日メンバーに名を連ねている。なお、リーベル・プレートの初戦は、16日に大阪長居スタジアムでマゼンベ(アフリカ王者)vs開幕戦勝者(開催国王者vsオークランド・シティ/オセアニア王者)の勝者と行われる。
