マンチェスター・シティ所属のドイツ代表MFイルカイ・ギュンドアンが、幼少期に在籍していたへスラー06というクラブに金銭面の支援をしたそうだ。イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』が伝えている。
へスラー06はギュンドアンの故郷であるゲルゼンキルヒェンで活動するアマチュアクラブで、同選手は1993年から2004年の間、シャルケで過ごした1年を挟んで通算10年間在籍していた。
そのへスラー06は現在、新しい人工芝のピッチを建設している最中で、その費用は65万ユーロ(約8700万円)かかるのだそう。このうちの35万ユーロ(約4700万円)はゲルゼンキルヒェンの自治体が支払うことになっているのだが、30万ユーロ(約4000万円)はクラブ持ち。ギュンドアンはその大部分を、シティから受け取ったボーナスで賄うのだという。
ドイツ代表MFの叔父で代理人を務めるイルハン氏はこのように語っている。
「幼少の期のほとんどをここで過ごしたので、今でもこのクラブと密接な関係にある」
2016年夏のシティ加入後、3度のプレミアリーグ優勝を含む8個の主要トロフィーを獲得してきたギュンドアン。今季はチーム最多の13ゴールを挙げて優勝に貢献しており、トータルのボーナスは莫大なものだろう。

プレミアリーグは、ラマダン期間中に開催される試合に関して、選手、スタッフの健康状態への配慮からクーリングブレイクのような一時中断を計画しているようだ。 今月22日から4月21日までムスリム(イスラム教徒)の間では、ラマダンが実施される。 イスラム暦で9月を意味するラマダンは、ムスリムにとって“聖なる月”とされており、自制と規律が求められるこの期間にムスリムは夜明けから日暮れまでの間、一切飲食物を口にすることができない。 そして、フットボール界においても多くの敬虔なムスリムはサウムの期間にその教えを忠実に守り、たとえトレーニング中や試合中においても飲食物を口にすることはない。 この期間におけるコンディション調整を熟知しているベテラン選手はさほど気を遣ったサポートは必要ないが、基礎代謝が高く同期間における経験値が少ない若手選手にとってはパフォーマンスに大きな影響を及ぼすものとなる。 プレミアリーグではチェルシーのMFエンゴロ・カンテ、リバプールのFWモハメド・サラー、マンチェスター・シティのMFイルカイ・ギュンドアンといったスター選手を初め、多くの選手がその制限を受ける形となっている。 そういった中、近年多様性への理解が進むフットボール界において、イングランドのプレミアリーグとフットボールリーグ(EFL)は、クーリングブレイクのような形で選手、スタッフに日没後に飲水、栄養補給を行うための一時的な試合中断を検討しているという。 『ESPN』によると、各リーグ管理者と審判協会のPGMOLは、ラマダン期間にクラブがチームシートを交換する際、影響を受ける選手やスタッフがいるかどうかを調査するよう当局に通知したという。 そして、断食中の選手、クラブスタッフ、試合関係者がピッチサイドで、飲水やエネルギーサプリメントを摂取できるように、自然な形でのプレーの停止を実施する見込みだ。 これまでイスラム圏のリーグ戦では試合開始時間、同様のブレイクを採り入れていたが、ヨーロッパでは各試合において審判団の裁量で試合を一時的にストップする配慮がなされていたが、リーグ全体での決定となれば、画期的な試みとなるはずだ。 2023.03.22 23:32 Wed

ドイツ国内最大の外国籍コミュニティ…ユーロ2024でトルコ系移民6万人が祖国代表の試合ごとに大挙へ
トルコ代表はユーロ2024を“もうひとつの開催国”として戦う。 いよいよ開幕したユーロ2024。今大会はドイツ開催となり、ここまで開催国ドイツ代表、前回王者イタリア代表、UNL王者スペイン代表などが、順当に白星発進となっている。 17日にはグループE、18日にグループFが幕を開けるなか、F組はスター軍団のポルトガル代表、前回ベスト8のチェコ代表、トルコ代表、初出場のジョージア代表という組み合わせ。 スペイン『Relevo』は、F組首位通過はポルトガルでもチェコでもなく「開催国トルコ」ではないか、と予想する。 トルコ代表は昨年11月、アウェイで国際親善試合・ドイツ代表戦を戦い、3-2と勝利。試合会場のベルリン・オリンピアシュタディオンは「完全にホームトルコ、アウェイドイツの雰囲気だった」と、あるドイツ人記者が語る。 そう、ドイツ連邦には300万人を優に越えるトルコ系移民が暮らしており、国内の外国籍コミュニティとしてトルコが最大。2番目に多いバルカン半島諸国出身者でも、トルコ系移民の1/3にも満たないとされる。 この事実はサッカー界も例外でなく、ブンデスリーガにはドイツ出身のトルコ人選手、ドイツ国籍を取得したトルコ系選手が多数。現ドイツ代表もキャプテンのイルカイ・ギュンドアン、またエムレ・ジャン、かつての背番号「10」メスト・エジル氏などがトルコ系だ。 国家への帰属意識を巡ってエジル氏が代表引退に追い込まれるなど、センシティブな側面が否めないところだが、その一方、現在のトルコ代表もドイツ生まれが多数おり、キャプテンのハカン・チャルハノール、サリフ・エズジャン、ケナン・ユルディズらがその筆頭格。 どうやら今大会、ドイツ国内で暮らすトルコ系移民らは、祖国から応援に駆けつける同胞とともに、代表チームの試合に合わせて大移動するとみられており、試合ごとに6万人のトルコ人が会場内外へ向かう見通しとのこと。 18日の初戦・ジョージア代表戦は、収容人数約6万6000人(国際試合)を誇るドルトムントの本拠地・BVBシュタディオン・ドルトムント(ジグナル・イドゥナ・パルク)での開催。地元警察は予測不能な事態に備え、相当な数の警察官を会場周辺に配置するという。 ドルトムントに所属するドイツ生まれのトルコ代表MFエズジャンが「僕たちはこのユーロをホームとして戦う」と語れば、イタリア人のヴィンチェンツォ・モンテッラ監督までもが「ドイツに住むトルコ人全員をハッピーにするため、私たちはここへ来た」と宣言。 トルコ代表の躍進が始まろうとしている。 2024.06.17 15:10 Mon

エジル氏が旧知のエルドアン大統領の後ろ盾でトルコの政界に進出

ギュンドアンの妻に地元民が怒り?「マンチェスターには美味しいものが何もない」と不満を赤裸々告白
