鳥栖フューチャーズでもプレーした元カメルーン代表キャプテンのタタウ氏が57歳で死去

かつてカメルーン代表のキャプテンも務め、サガン鳥栖の前身である鳥栖フューチャーズでもプレーしたステファン・タタウ氏が亡くなった。57歳だった。イギリス『BBC』が伝えた。
タタウ氏は、カメルーン代表の一員として1990年のイタリア・ワールドカップに出場。キャプテンとしてチームをベスト8へ導いた事で知られている。
また、1994年のアメリカ・ワールドカップにも出場。キャプテンとして3試合に出場していた。
クラブレベルではカメルーンでプレーし、1995年1月からは鳥栖フューチャーズでプレー。2年間プレーし、そのまま現役を引退した。
なお、死因についてはまだ発表されていない。

カメルーンサッカー協会(FECAFOOT)は27日、元カメルーン代表MFランドリー・エングエモが交通事故で命を落としたことを発表した。38歳だった。
交通事故は27日にカメルーンの首都・ヤウンデ近郊で発生。エングエモの運転手が運転していた車は、砂の収集車と衝突。エングエモ、運転手ともに即死だったという。

デカすぎる!UFCヘビー級王者のガヌーがエトー氏と対面 ともにカメルーンの英雄
