長らくアーセナルで指揮を執ったアーセン・ヴェンゲル氏に現場復帰の可能性が浮上した。イギリス『デイリー・メール』が報じた。

2017-18シーズンを最後に、アーセナルの監督を退任したヴェンゲル氏。その後はどのチームでも指導せず、解説の仕事などを行っている。

監督業を引退したわけではないヴェンゲル氏。すると、スイス代表監督の候補の1人に挙がっているとスイス『Blick』が伝えた。

現在はFIFAの育成部門のチームでもあるヴェンゲル氏。スイス代表監督に就任した場合は、短期的に引き継ぐことになると見られている。

スイス代表を7年間指揮したウラジミール・ペトコビッチ監督は、ユーロ2020を最後に退任。ボルドーの監督に就任したため、後任を探す必要があった。

ヴェンゲル氏は2022年のカタール・ワールドカップに向けた欧州予選を指揮するとのこと。3月のプレーオフまでになると見られている。

ヴェンゲル氏はナンシー、モナコ、名古屋グランパス、アーセナルで監督を務め、代表チームからのオファーはこれまで何度も断りを入れていた。果たしてスイス代表の指揮を執るのか、注目が集まる。

オフサイドのルールを大幅変更? ヴェンゲル氏が提案した「体の一部」から「全部」に変更をIFABが検討か…誤審被害も大幅に減少か

サッカー界に大きな革命が起こる可能性があるようだ。サッカーのルールなどを制定する組織である国際サッカー評議会(IFAB)。これまでも様々なルールの変更や、その解釈の変更などを行ってきている。 VAR(ビデオ・アシスタント・レフェリー)をはじめ、テクノロジーの導入も進んでいるサッカー界。ただ、あくまでも補助的な役割でもあり、権限は主審が握っている状況。一方で、明確な間違いには介入できるはずのVARが人的ミスを起こすことも世界中で頻繁に起きており、テクノロジーを導入したが故にミスが許されず、大きな批判の対象にもなっている。多くの誤審が防がれる一方で、未だに問題が残っているのがオフサイド。VARが介入してもミスが続くなどしている。そんな中、IFABがオフサイドの解釈を変更する可能性があるとスペイン『マルカ』が報道。かつてアーセナルを指揮し、現在は国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)の国際サッカー発展部門の責任者を務めているアーセン・ヴェンゲル氏の提案を支持する可能性があるという。オフサイドのルールは明白。IFABの定義では「頭、体、足のいずれかの部分が、ボールと最後尾から2番目の相手選手の両方よりも相手ゴールラインに近い」場合は、オフサイドと判定されるという。このルールは数十年変更されておらず、たまに生まれる勘違いがは、「手や腕」はオフサイドに関係ないものの、これをオフサイドと主張するもの。「脇よりも先」はプレーできる場所ではないため、オフサイドにはならない。一方で、オフサイドになるのは「脇の下」が最後であり、このラインをVARではチェックすることが多くなる。ただ、それを見極めることはなかなか難しいもの。そこでヴェンゲル氏が提案したのは、「選手の体全てが最後のDFを超えた場合」をオフサイドとするというものだ。つまり、現行ルールの体の一部が「わずかにオフサイドラインを越える」という曖昧なものをやめ、「完全に越えたかどうか」がポイントになるとのこと。肉眼でも判別しやすいものであり、焦点となりそうなのは、踵が残るかどうかというところだろう。オフサイドが試合結果に影響することは多く、特にタイトル争いや残留争いをするチームにとってはシビアな問題に。「あの勝ち点があれば」と、誤審の被害に遭ったチームの関係者はストレスを溜めることになるが、誤審も大幅に減ると期待されている。報道によれば、2024-25シーズンにも導入する可能性があるとのこと。このルールに変更されれば、頭に思い浮かぶオフサイドの誤審はほとんどなくなるはずだ。また、ディフェンスラインとの駆け引きが巧みな選手やスピードを武器とするストライカーはゴール量産が期待できる可能性も。ディフェンダーにとっては難しさが増しそうだが、選手や監督、審判、ファンなど多くの人にとってはプラスに働きそうだが、どうなるだろうか。 <span class="paragraph-title">【写真】変更される可能性のある新旧オフサイドルールの差</span> <span data-other-div="movie"></span> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"> <a href="https://t.co/A7351jnMP7">pic.twitter.com/A7351jnMP7</a></p>— 433 (@433) <a href="https://twitter.com/433/status/1675597068839124994?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">July 2, 2023</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> 2023.11.19 22:11 Sun

「クソッタレ!」ストイコビッチ監督が興奮し問題発言、スイスとセルビアに起きた4年前の遺恨が再燃か「とても悪い振る舞い」
