チェルシーのドイツ代表MFカイ・ハヴァーツが母国の復活について語った。
ドイツ代表は2014年のブラジル・ワールドカップ(W杯)と2017年のコンフェデレーションズカップで優勝を果たし、黄金期を迎えた。しかし、その後はユーロ2016で準決勝敗退、2018年のロシアW杯でグループステージ敗退と思うような成績を残せていない。
ハヴァーツ自身は19歳で2018年9月にA代表デビュー。先のユーロ2020でも4試合で2ゴールを決める活躍を見せたが、チームはイングランド代表に敗れてラウンド16で姿を消している。
そんな中、ドイツ『ビルト』のインタビューで、2022年に開催されるカタールW杯の優勝に向けて必要なことを聞かれると、近年の代表の低迷に触れつつも、世界王者の奪還に自信をのぞかせた。

アーセナル、今季3rdユニフォームは緑!80年代意識のレトロスタイル

最速でW杯出場を決めたドイツ代表、フリック監督も安堵「チームの姿勢を褒めなければ」
ドイツ代表のハンジ・フリック監督が、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)出場を決めたことを喜んだ。ドイツサッカー連盟(DFB)が伝えた。 ドイツは11日、カタールW杯欧州予選グループJ第8節で、北マケドニア代表とアウェイで対戦した。 3月に行われたホームでの北マケドニア戦では1-2で敗れ、予選で唯一の黒星を喫していたドイツ。この試合も前半から押し込むが、ゴールを奪えず苦しい展開が続く。 ゴールレスで迎えた後半もドイツが押し込むと50分にカイ・ハヴァーツが先制ゴールを奪うと、70分と73分にティモ・ヴェルナーが連続ゴールで試合の大勢を決める。さらに84分には、ジャマル・ミュージアラがゴールを奪い、0-4で快勝。ルーマニア代表が敗れたために、世界最速でカタールW杯出場を決めた。 見事に予選を突破したフリック監督は、試合後に勝利を喜んだ。 「我々は予選を通過した。それが望んでいたことだった。チームの姿勢を褒めなければいけない。彼らは決して諦めなかった」 「前半は少し荒れ気味の時間帯もあった。ルーマニア戦と同様に、最初は精度を欠いていた」 「最初のゴールが決まった後、徐々に上がっていき安定していった。満足できる結果だ」 2021.10.12 09:50 Tue
