カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)にイングランド代表の一員として出場したベリンガム。19歳ながらチームでも主軸を担い、大きな期待を寄せられた今大会に臨んだ。

自身初のW杯出場となった今大会は、5試合に出場。全て先発でピッチに立つと、初戦のイラン代表戦ではW杯初ゴールを記録。中盤でチームを支え、アシストで貢献した。

惜しくもベスト8で姿を消すことになったイングランド。将来のキャプテンとも呼び声高いベリンガムは、初めてのW杯を自身のインスタグラムで振り返り、悔しがると共に決意を新たにした。
