スポルティングCPの日本代表MF守田英正が、サンタクロース姿を披露した。カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)にも日本代表の一員として出場。コンディションの問題もあり初戦を欠場した中、残りの3試合では中盤の要となってプレーをした。
その守田はポルトガルでクリスマスを迎えることに。妻の藤阪れいなさんと娘との3ショットを披露した。

日本は過去サウジアラビアとは10勝1分け5敗と相性は悪くないものの、アウェイは3連敗中で、なおかつノーゴールだった。それでも現在の日本が実力を発揮すれば、少なくともサウジアラビアは負ける相手ではないと思っていた。問題は10月の蒸し暑さと時差調整の難しさに加え、完全アウェイの雰囲気に「実力を発揮できるか」だった。 しかし日本は3年前とは違った。攻守にサウジアラビアの先手を取り、中国戦やバーレー戦と違い前半42分には決定機を許したものの、終わってみれば3試合連続クリーンシートによる2-0の堂々たる勝利。アウェイという不安要素は杞憂に終わり、日本は確実に勝点3を積み重ねた。 日本は今回の最終予選から、1日でも早く選手の合流や現地入りを実現して練習時間とミーティング時間を確保するためチャーター機を利用していることは紹介した。さらに時差調整もヨーロッパの現地時間で過ごすことで、無理に時差ボケを解消しようとはせず、予選の試合が終わって帰国したらスムーズにリーグ戦に入れるよう工夫している。 今回のアウェイ、サウジアラビア戦に関して言えば、海外組にとって中東の時差は6時間程度。現地でナイターの試合なら、ヨーロッパではデーゲームという感覚に近いのではないだろうか。そうしたトライが奏功したのか、日本は立ち上がりこそサウジアラビアの前からのプレスにDF陣はロングパスを選択したが、徐々にマイボールの時間を長くしていった。 そして前半14分、堂安律のクロスを左サイドで三笘薫がワンタッチで折り返すと、これを守田英正がヘッドで再び中へと折り返す。そこに走り込んだのが鎌田大地で、フリーとなって左足のボレーで押し込んだ。中国戦の遠藤航のゴール(前半12分)に続く早い時間帯での先制点は、日本にひと泡吹かせようと目論んでいたサウジアラビアの出鼻を挫くのに十分な効果があった。 日本の複数選手が連動したのは攻撃だけではない。前半27分には右MFムサブ・アルジュアイルと右FWアイマン・ヤハヤのシュートをCBと守田、遠藤の4人がかりで連続ブロックした。守田は42分にもFWフェリス・アルブリカンのシュートをブロック。このこぼれ球から右SBのサウード・アブドゥルハミドが決定的なシュートを放ったものの、GK鈴木彩艶がファインセーブでサウジアラビアの決定機を防いだ。 守備の連動性は、1月のアジアカップでは10番をつけて1トップで攻撃を牽引したFWサレム・アル・ドサリ封じにも発揮された。スピーディーなドリブル突破を武器にするサウジアラビアのエースストライカーでもある。彼と対峙する堂安は、バーレーン戦ではロングパスからの左MFマルフーンのカウンターに手を焼いたが、サレム・アル・ドサリに対してはインターセプトを見せたり、遠藤のプレスバックやCB板倉滉のカバーリングもあったりして、サレム・アル・ドサリには決定的なシュートを許さなかった。彼はドリブラーのため、足元でパスを受けてから突破を図ることも堂安には幸いした。 堂安以外にも、三笘や上田綺世、小川航基らもプレスバックで日本の堅守に貢献。森保一監督も試合後の会見では「チームの戦術、タスクとして守備の部分も要求してトレーニングを積んでいます。選手たちも守備から入るチームの戦い方を、サウジでの難しい戦いの中でやってくれました」と評価すると同時に、「いい守備から攻撃につなげることを選手たちはやってくれた」と森保ジャパンのコンセプトを繰り返していた。 サウジアラビア戦は、中国戦やバーレーン戦のようなゴールラッシュとはいかなかったが、アウェイでの2-0は完勝と評価していいだろう。ホームに戻ってのオーストラリア戦も、「カギ」はコンデショニングが握っていることは間違いない。それを想定し、2試合セットでの選手起用を森保監督は実践している。落とし穴があるとすれば、難敵サウジアラビアをアウェイで下したことによる「気の緩み」くらいしか考えられない。 3試合を終えて、私自身、最終予選はもう少し緊張感のある、「ヒリヒリするような試合」を楽しみたいと思うのは、「贅沢な悩み」であり「気の緩み」の表れだろうか。 文・六川亨 <span class="paragraph-title">【動画】日本代表がアウェイでサウジアラビアに初勝利!</span> <span data-other-div="movie"></span> <script>var video_id ="W8caVPCkYyQ";var video_start = 0;</script><div style="text-align:center;"><div id="player"></div></div><script src="https://web.ultra-soccer.jp/js/youtube_autoplay.js"></script> 2024.10.11 19:15 Fri

ゴミ捨て動画に続き、ゴミだらけのロッカールーム…日本代表を標的としたフェイクニュース再び、実際はイタリア代表のもの

「新しいジャニーズのグループかと」「かっこよすぎ」日本代表に新散歩隊誕生!? 堂安律ら東京タワーバックに笑顔で記念撮影「仲良し5人かわいい」

「みんな似すぎ」「妹かわいらしい」浅野拓磨が兄妹7人勢揃いのレアショットで新年の挨拶「何年かぶりに揃いました」

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン
