ユベントスのMFアンヘル・ディ・マリアが、カタール・ワールドカップ後にアルゼンチン代表から引退する意向であることを明かした。
ディ・マリアの代表デビューは2008年9月。ブラジルW杯・南米予選のパラグアイ戦だった。その後の招集はまばらだったが、2010年の南アフリカ大会でメンバー入りを果たし、以降はチームの常連に。W杯は今回のカタール大会を含めて4回出場し、昨夏のコパ・アメリカでは優勝を収めた。
今年3月には、母国で行われた南米予選のベネズエラ戦の後、「これがアルゼンチンで最後の代表戦」とコメントし、カタールW杯後の代表引退を示唆していたディ・マリア。このたび、アルゼンチン『La Nacion』のインタビューで、改めて大会後の引退を発表した。
「3月にアルゼンチンで最後の代表戦だと言ったけど、僕ももう34歳だ。これが最後のW杯になることはわかっている。正直なところ、4回もW杯に出られるなんて驚いているんだ」

アルゼンチン代表がW杯用のユニフォーム発表、白と水色のストライプから“adidasの文字”が消える

自宅で強盗被害…ユベントスにカップル移籍のドウグラス・ルイス&レーマン、金品盗まれる

メッシ 大好きなマテ茶のストローは7万円超えの特別仕様

メッシと妻は30年来の仲、幼馴染の2人が結ばれW杯で優勝するまで

「本当に好きなんだな」メッシのことが大好き!はるばるインテル・マイアミを訪れたアルゼンチン戦士に驚きの声「飛行機で5時間だぞ」
