「もっと注目されても良いと思う」アーセナルのレジェンドFWが1人の女子選手を救う…手術費支払いを拒否したクラブに変わり自腹でサポート

「最高にかわいいカメラマン!」アーセナルの岩渕真奈がチームメイトを激写!写真の出来栄えは?

「WEリーグの選手もできる」なでしこジャパンの10番が狙う4年ぶりの代表戦ゴール 塩越柚歩がE-1で示したい、“国内組の力”
東アジアE-1サッカー選手権に臨むなでしこジャパン(女子日本代表)は7日、開催地の韓国入り後初の全体練習を行った。初招集メンバーは10名。若手も多く揃う中、「プレーでもピッチ外でもリーダーシップが取れたら」と笑顔を見せるのは、今大会で背番号10を背負う塩越柚歩だ。 代表招集は約8カ月ぶりで、2025年2月に就任したニルス・ニールセン監督の下でプレーをするのは今大会が初めてとなる。 初日の練習を終え「ちょっと戸惑いというか、(監督が求めているプレーは)“これで合っているのかな”というのは、正直あった」と率直な感想を語る一方で、「みんなですり合わせながら、やっていけた感覚はある」と手応えも得ながら汗を流した。 今大会のメンバー選考について、ニールセン監督は「WEリーグから非常に才能ある選手を選んだ」と明言する。国内組が多く名を連ねる中、ボランチでの起用が予想される塩越に求められているのは、得点に絡む大胆なプレーだ。 7日に行われた11対11ゲーム形式のトレーニングでも、ゴール前に飛び込んでいくプレーを披露。「無理に(ボールを)受けに行かないでほしいと言われていたので、あまり(最終ラインまで)落ちるプレーはしないように意識した」と話し、「『ここぞ』っていうタイミングで、ゴール前に迫ることを言われている」と与えられている役割を明かした。 2024-25シーズンのWEリーグ第8節・サンフレッチェ広島レジーナ戦では、ペナルティーエリア手前横パスから華麗なダイレクトシュートをゴール右上に突き刺し、リーグ年間ベストゴールにも輝いた。今回の招集は、そうした国内リーグでの活躍を惜しみなく発揮してほしいという指揮官からのメッセージでもあるのだ。 2021年4月に行われた国際親善試合で初選出された塩越は、なでしこデビューとなったパラグアイ戦で2ゴール1アシストを挙げ、大きな爪痕を残していた。 「普段の代表は海外組が多い中で、“WEリーグの選手もできる”のを見せられる大会になると思う。より結果が大事」と意気込む背番号10は、約4年ぶりにネットを揺らすことができるか。 チームは大会3連覇を目標に、まずは9日に行われるチャイニーズ・タイペイとの初戦に臨む。 2025.07.08 12:00 Tue

“前回王者”ではなく、“チャレンジャー”として。主将・高橋はなが強調する、大会3連覇に必要不可欠な“心持ち”
7月8日、女子の東アジアE-1サッカー選手権2025の開幕を前に、龍仁ミルスタジアムにて出場国3チームによる合同記者会見が行われた。女子日本代表(なでしこジャパン)からは、キャプテン・高橋はなが出席。大会に向け、大事にしたい“心持ち”を語った。 女子カテゴリーでのE-1選手権は、2005年に第1回大会が開催され、今大会で9回目を迎える。なでしこジャパンは2008年の初優勝以降、4度の優勝を果たしており、ニルス・ニールセン監督が率いるチームは史上初の3連覇を目指す。 立場としては最多優勝国かつ前回王者だ。しかし、これまで“アジアの難しさ”を肌で感じてきた高橋は「簡単な試合はない」と断言する。 A代表で通算36試合の出場経験をもつ高橋は、E-1選手権のみならず、AFC女子アジアカップやパリオリンピック最終予選といった国際大会で、何度も東アジアの諸国と対戦してきた。だが、振り返れば大勝した試合はほとんどなく、2点差以上で勝利できたのは、AFC女子アジアカップインド2022のチャイニーズ・タイペイ戦(4○1)のみ。そのほかは、いずれもドローあるいは1点差での勝利と、毎度苦しめられてきた。 さらに今大会は、2024年12月に就任したニールセン監督の下、国内組を中心に代表初選出の選手も多く、チームとしての総合力は未知数と言える。だからこそ、「優勝したのは過去のこと。“チャレンジャー”の気持ちで対戦相手をリスペクトして、しっかりと目の前の試合に全力で戦いたい」と、メンバー全員に浸透させたい意識を強調した。 まずは9日行われる初戦のチャイニーズ・タイペイ戦に勝利したい。手堅く戦うのか。未知数な力を最大化させて躍動するのか。なでしこジャパンの戦いに注目が集まる。 2025.07.08 18:00 Tue

2027年のブラジル女子W杯の開催日程が決定! なでしこ含むアジア予選は6枠の出場権+2枠のPOに
国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)は10日、臨時総会を開催。2027年に行われるブラジル女子ワールドカップ(W杯)の開催日程を決議した。 2023年にオーストラリアとニュージーランドの共催で行われた女子W杯はスペイン女子代表が初優勝。なでしこジャパンはグループステージでそのスペインを下していたが、ベスト8での敗退となった。 2027年はブラジルで開催されることが決定していた中、FIFAは臨時総会に先立ちバーチャル会議を実施。ブラジル女子W杯に関して、2027年6月24日〜7月25日まで開催されることが決定した。 32カ国が出場する今大会。29カ国の出場枠は既に決定しており、日本を含むアジア(AFC)は6カ国、ヨーロッパ(UEFA)は11カ国、南米(CONMEBOL)はブラジルを含めて3カ国、アフリカ(CAF)は4カ国、北中米カリブ海(CONCACAF)は4カ国、オセアニア(OFC)は1カ国が出場権を直接獲得する。 また、残りの3枠に関しては、2つのフェーズで行われる10カ国のプレーオフで決定。アジア、アフリカ、北中米カリブ海、南米はそれぞれ2カ国、オセアニア、ヨーロッパは1カ国ずつがプレーオフ出場権を獲得する。 プレーオフの第1フェーズは、最新のFIFAランキングに基づいて6カ国が戦うことに。2026年11月から12月にかけて行われ、上位2カ国が勝ち上がると、北中米カリブ海の2カ国、南米の1カ国、ヨーロッパの1カ国が待つ第2フェーズに進み、3つのカードに分けられ、勝者の3カ国が出場権を獲得する。 2024.12.11 23:40 Wed
