1968年にチャンピオンズカップ(現チャンピオンズリーグ)優勝直後にユナイテッドの電話交換手となり、サー・マット・バスビー氏、ジミー・マーフィー氏、サー・ボビー・チャールトン氏、サー・アレックス・ファーガソン氏、デニス・ロー氏、ジョージ・ベスト氏といったユナイテッドの伝説的な指揮官や選手たちとの親交を深めた。
その後、クラブのオフィススタッフの主要メンバーとなり、マッチデーにはオールド・トラッフォードの役員入口を担当し、トレーニンググラウンドの受付係も務めた。そして、デイビッド・ベッカム氏らファーギー・ベイブスから近年の多くの選手たちを自分の孫のような気持ちで温かく見守り続けた。

ガルナチョが購入した豪邸を1年で売却へ、移籍が加速という見方もある中での理由は?

【プレミア注目プレビュー】シティ司令塔のラストダンスに注目集まるマンチェスター・ダービー

「1人か2人のビッグプレーヤーを」来季に向けた補強への望みを語るアモリム監督、ただその真意は「マドリーなどのビッグプレーヤーのことを言っているのではない」
