インテル・マイアミ、2026年に待望の新スタジアム完成へ…ベッカム氏「永続的な遺産を残したいという願いの集大成」

ルイス・スアレスがウルグアイ代表を引退…来るパラグアイ戦が最後に 「僕は37歳。次のW杯に出るのは難しい」
インテル・マイアミFWルイス・スアレス(37)がウルグアイ代表からの引退を表明した。 アメリカ『ESPN』によると、スアレスは2日の記者会見でその旨を明らかに。6日に行われる北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)南米予選のパラグアイ代表戦がラストゲームとなる。 「僕は37歳。次のW杯に出るのがすごく難しいのをわかっている。ケガで引退するわけでなければ、招集されなくなったりするのではなく、退けるのをとても嬉しく思う」 今では欧州トップレベルの舞台を離れ、アメリカに活躍の場を移すスアレス。代表では2007年2月のデビューから142キャップを刻み、代表歴代最多の69ゴールを積み上げる。 噛みつき騒動でも賑わせた代表キャリアだが、2010年の南アフリカ大会から直近のカタール大会まで4度のW杯出場を経験。2011年のコパ・アメリカでは大会MVPとなる活躍で優勝に導いた。 今年加入のマイアミではリオネル・メッシともバルセロナ時代以来の共闘を果たし、今季のここまで公式戦23試合で18ゴールと健在ぶりをアピール。そのなかで代表引退の決断だった。 ウルグアイではエディンソン・カバーニがひと足先の別れを決断。フェデリコ・バルベルデをはじめ、新たなタレントが出てきているが、スアレスも離れ、さらに世代交代が進みそうだ。 2024.09.03 14:35 Tue

「何してるんだ?」「プロの選手?」MLSで起きたとんでもないミス連発が話題…しかし、公式の投稿には批判的な意見も「リーグの価値を下げる」
