2019年7月に18歳でマドリーに完全移籍で加入したロドリゴ。2023年にはチーム最多となる公式戦61試合に出場、主力に定着し、2023年11月には契約を2028年まで延長した。今シーズンもラ・リーガで19試合に出場し7ゴール、チャンピオンズリーグでも6試合で3ゴールを記録している。

3日に行われた2024年最初の試合となるマジョルカとのラ・リーガ第19節にも先発出場していたロドリゴだが、年末年始の間にある流行を取り入れていたようだ。

ブラジル『グローボ』によると、ロドリゴはグリルズと呼ばれる歯のファッションアイテムをオーダーしたようだ。

グリルズとは、歯の表面に被せて装着するファッションアイテム。まだ日本ではあまり馴染みがないが、セレブリティやラッパー、スポーツ選手などの間で流行っているという。

ロドリゴは、自身のSNSでこのグリルズを着用した動画を投稿。下の歯はダイヤモンドのようにキラキラと輝いていた。

『グローボ』によると、グリルズは金、銀、ニッケル、ダイヤモンドなど、さまざまな種類の貴金属で加工が可能であり、ロドリゴがどの金属を選んだのかは不明だが、最高で約14万レアル(約415万円)の費用がかかるという。

また、マドンナ、ケイティ・ペリー、リアーナ、ビヨンセといったセレブたちや、ロドリゴとマドリーで一緒にプレーするブラジル代表DFエデル・ミリトンらも、過去にこのグリルズを取り入れていたとおことだ。

キラキラになったロドリゴの口元はSNSでも話題に。「サッカー選手というよりラッパーだ」、「信じられない」、「驚いた」と多くの反響が寄せられている。

プレーだけでなく口元も輝きを見せたロドリゴ。2024年のさらなる活躍にも期待だ。

女子選手の意見を参考に配慮し白パンツを中止、ナイキが女子W杯出場13カ国の新ユニフォームを発表!

データおよびテクノロジーにおけるリーディングカンパニーの「ニールセン・グレースノート」が、オーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)に出場する選手のインフルエンサーとしてのランキングを発表した。なでしこジャパンも出場する女子W杯。開幕までおよそ1カ月となった中で、各国の出場選手も決定している。「ニールセン・グレースノート」は出場する選手の中での、インフルエンサーとしてのランキングを発表。フォロワーやフォロワーの増加、エンゲージメント率など、インスタグラム上の投稿ごとの平均ブランド価値を評価してランキングを発表した。トップ10が発表され、実に9カ国の選手がランクイン。アメリカ女子代表のみが唯一2選手がランクインしている。 1位に輝いたのは、アストン・ビラでプレーするスイス女子代表のアリーシャ・レーマン。世界一セクシーなアスリートとしても知られ、インスタグラムのフォロワーは1340万人。元プロテニスプレーヤーのロジャー・フェデラーを超え、インスタグラムで最も人気のあるスイス人アスリートとなっている。アストン・ビラでは2シーズンでFA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)で43試合に出場し7ゴール。スイス代表としても38キャップを記録している。
