23日、2022-23Yogibo WEリーグの開幕節で浦和レディースはAC長野パルセイロ・レディースと対戦した。

埼玉スタジアム2002での開幕戦。さらに、3年ぶりの声出し応援が解禁という状況の中、塩越は5分にダイレクトのパス交換からドリブルで持ち込み、左足シュートを決めて先制点を挙げる。

その後、点の取り合いとなった中、3-2で浦和レディースが逃げ切り勝利。塩越はプレーヤー・オブ・ザ・マッチに選ばれた。

試合後、塩越は開幕戦で選ばれたことについて「率直に開幕戦勝利できたことも嬉しいですし、去年はこの賞を獲れなかったので、今年開幕で獲れて嬉しいです」と、率直な感想を語っていた。

今季のチーム初ゴールを記録したシュートについては「ファーストタッチで凄く良い所に置けて相手の前に入れて、左足だったんですけど、流し込むだけのシュートでした」とコメント。落ち着いて決められたという。

埼玉スタジアムでの開幕戦については「埼玉スタジアムでやらせてもらうこともなかなかないですし、凄くたくさんのお客さんが入ってくれたり、声出し応援ありなど、色々あったので、絶対勝ちたいと思って開幕戦に臨みました」と、強い気持ちを持って臨んだという。

また「気負いせずに自分たちのサッカーをしようと試合に入った中で、良い形で点を取って、失点もありましたけど、勝ち切れてよかったです」と、白星スタートとなったことを喜んだ。

声出し応援については「久しぶりの声出し応援でしたけど、アップでピッチに入ってすぐにやってくれたので、鳥肌が立ちました」と語る塩越。シーズンへの意気込みを最後に語った。

「今シーズンは去年4点取ったので、今シーズンは5点取りたいと思います」

「今日も熱い声援ありがとうございました。声援や拍手が後押しになりました。良いスタートが切れたので、引き続き応援よろしくお願いします」

広島の迫井深也HCと浦和Lの工藤輝央SDがProライセンス認定
