イングランド代表FWハリー・ケインが離脱する運びとなった。イギリス『BBC』が報じた。

所属先のバイエルンで活躍を続け、この3月も代表入りのケインだが、直前のブンデスリーガで左足首を負傷。状態が懸念されるなか、代表に合流し、23日に行われたブラジル代表との国際親善試合を欠場した。

次戦は26日に行われるベルギー代表との国際親善試合だが、ガレス・サウスゲイト監督がブラジル戦後の会見で「ケインは火曜日(26日)の試合に適さないだろうから、クラブに戻る」とし、離脱を認めた。

ユーロ2024を迎えるにあたり、この3月が最終調整の場となるイングランドだが、主将ケインは無念の離脱に。0-1で惜敗したブラジル戦ではケイン不在の攻撃が停滞したが、ベルギー戦で解決策を見いだせるか。

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

「泣きながら電話した」アルコール依存症に苦しむ元イングランド代表ガスコイン氏が家を出て居候に、それでも闘病に決意「戦い続ける」

イングランドサッカー協会(FA)とナイキは18日、イングランド代表の新ユニフォームを発表した。ガレス・サウスゲイト監督のもと、2018年のロシア・ワールドカップ(W杯)はベスト4、2021年のユーロ2020は準優勝、2022年のカタール・ワールドカップはベスト8と、一定の成績を残し続けているイングランド。6月に開幕するユーロ2024の出場権も獲得し、スロベニア代表、デンマーク代表、セルビア代表と同居するグループCに入っている。そのユーロでも着用する新ユニフォームだが、ホームユニフォームはクラシックなデザインに。遠目で見ると白の無地に見えるが、薄っすらと同色のストライプがデザインされている。袖口には、過去の代表のトレーニングウェアからヒントを得たという、ネイビー、青、赤の3色のラインが入っており、ネイビーの襟の裏側にはイングランドの国旗をアレンジしたものがあしらわれた。一方のアウェイユニフォームは、過去の代表の象徴的なユニフォームを現代的にアレンジし、目を引くパープルで大胆に主張。シャツのサイドにはイングランドのファッションにちなんだという7色で構成されたラインが入っているほか、襟の裏にはイングランドの国旗をサイドのラインと同じ7色であしらった。イングランド代表の新ユニフォームは「クラシックで最高」、「買うしかない」、「最高にクール」と好評の声が多いが、アウェイは紫色という意外なカラーだったこともあり「美しい色だ」、「アウェイは赤であるべきだ」、「初めてじゃないか」、「その色のチョイスはなしだ」と意見が分かれている。 <span class="paragraph-title">【写真】アウェイは紫!イングランド代表の新ユニフォーム</span> <span data-other-div="movie"></span> <blockquote class="instagram-media" data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink="https://www.instagram.com/p/C4phrSHNpec/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading" data-instgrm-version="14" style=" background:#FFF;
