ディルク・カイト監督率いるベールスホットがベルギー1部復帰確実に…指揮官はステップアップを示唆
元オランダ代表FWディルク・カイト(43)が名監督の道へ? オランダ『Voetbal International』が伝えている。 かつてフェイエノールトやリバプール、そしてオランダ代表などで長らく活躍したカイト氏。エールディビジでは点取り屋、プレミアリーグでは無尽蔵のスタミナで駆け回るスーパータフネスアタッカーとしてその名を知らしめた。 選手キャリア晩年は古巣フェイエノールトに戻り、現役ラストゲームとなった2016-17シーズン最終節、自身のハットトリックで勝利をもたらし、36歳でキャリア初のエールディビジ優勝…伝説だ。 そんなカイト氏、指導者キャリアはフェイエノールトU-19指揮官などを経て、22-23シーズンにデン・ハーグの指揮官に。しかし成績不振でわずか5カ月での解任となっている。 それでも昨年12月、約1年間のブランクを経て、ベルギー2部・ベールスホットの新監督に就任。チームは第28節(全30節)を終えて首位と、1部復帰をほぼ確実なものにした。 ただ、就任からチームをジワジワ押し上げたカイト監督の契約は今季限り。7日、1部復帰を事実上確定させた直後、去就について問われ、監督業でのステップアップも示唆する。 「ベールスホットでも勿論可能だとは思うが…私は1人のコーチとしてさらに成長したい。とにかく今は、このクラブが大きな可能性を秘めたチームになったことを喜んでいる。最高レベル(ベルギー1部)に戻る時が来たんだ」 43歳の青年指揮官ディルク・カイト。数年後、どこかのビッグクラブを指揮する日がやってくるかもしれない。 2024.04.08 13:25 Mon
