データおよびテクノロジーにおけるリーディングカンパニーの「ニールセン・グレースノート」が、オーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)に出場する選手のインフルエンサーとしてのランキングを発表した。
なでしこジャパンも出場する女子W杯。開幕までおよそ1カ月となった中で、各国の出場選手も決定している。
「ニールセン・グレースノート」は出場する選手の中での、インフルエンサーとしてのランキングを発表。フォロワーやフォロワーの増加、エンゲージメント率など、インスタグラム上の投稿ごとの平均ブランド価値を評価してランキングを発表した。
トップ10が発表され、実に9カ国の選手がランクイン。アメリカ女子代表のみが唯一2選手がランクインしている。
1位に輝いたのは、アストン・ビラでプレーするスイス女子代表のアリーシャ・レーマン。世界一セクシーなアスリートとしても知られ、インスタグラムのフォロワーは1340万人。元プロテニスプレーヤーのロジャー・フェデラーを超え、インスタグラムで最も人気のあるスイス人アスリートとなっている。
アストン・ビラでは2シーズンでFA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)で43試合に出場し7ゴール。スイス代表としても38キャップを記録している。
2位には、バルセロナのエースでありスペイン女子代表のエースでもあるMFアレクシア・プテジャス。フォロワーは280万人であり、1位のレーマンがどれほどのフォロワーを抱えているかがわかる。
2シーズン連続でUEFA年間最優秀女子選手、バロンドールを受賞。2021年にはFIFA最優秀女子選手賞を受賞している。
2022年にはスペイン女子初となる代表100キャップに到達。その後、前十字じん帯を損傷し女子ユーロは欠場していた。
3位は、サンディエゴ・ウェーブスに所属するアメリカ女子代表FWアレックス・モーガン。フォロワーは1000万人だが、増加率やエンゲージメント率が低く、価値は3位となった。
言わずと知れたアメリカのエースで、過去2度のW杯優勝を経験。2012年のロンドン・オリンピックでは金メダルを獲得している。アメリカ女子代表として200キャップ以上を記録し、120ゴール以上を決めている。

▽アメリカ女子サッカーを代表する選手であり、アメリカ女子代表の守護神であるGKホープ・ソロが、国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)の元会長であるゼップ・ブラッター氏のセクハラを訴えた。イギリス『BBC』が報じた。
▽その美貌にも注目され、雑誌の表紙を飾るなどメディアにも多く登場するソロ。アメリカ女子代表としてもワールドカップの優勝やオリンピックの金メダルなど、プレーヤーとしても数々の実績を残している。

サッカー界に衝撃的な事件が起きてしまった。
元アメリカ女子代表の正守護神だったホープ・ソロ(40)が、飲酒運転で逮捕。さらに児童虐待容疑で逮捕された。アメリカ『CNN』が報じた。
アメリカ女子代表として2000年から2016年までプレーし、202試合に出場。北京オリンピック、ロンドン・オリンピックでは金メダル獲得に貢献していた。
警察によると、ソロは子供2人と車内にいる時、市内の企業の駐車場で逮捕したとのこと。ソロは拘留されたが、釈放されているという。
ただ、起訴が近づいているということもあり、警察は事件の詳細については明かさないとのことだ。
ソロは2014年にシアトル近郊の自宅で親戚2人を襲撃したとして、家庭内暴力の容疑で逮捕。しかし、無罪だとして2018年に正式に告訴が取り下げられていた。

22日、オーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)グループEのアメリカ女子代表vsベトナム女子代表がイーデン・パーク(オークランド)で行われ、3-0でアメリカが勝利した。
女子サッカー界で不動の地位を築き、女子W杯も最多4度の優勝、3連覇を目指すアメリカと、今回が初の女子W杯出場となったベトナムの対戦となった。
アメリカは、チームを牽引したMFミーガン・ラピノーが引退を発表しており、今大会が最後のW杯に。そのラピノーはベンチスタート。1トップにはアレックス・モーガンが起用された。
試合は立ち上がりから実力で勝るアメリカが圧倒。押し込み続けてベトナムゴールに迫っていく。
すると14分、ジュリー・アーツの鋭いパスをモーガンがフリック。これを受けたソフィア・スミスが左足でネットに突き刺し、アメリカが幸先良く先制する。
勢いに乗るアメリカは猛攻を続けると、28分にはボックス内左でスルーパスに抜け出したモーガンが左足シュートを狙うが、わずかに右に外れる。29分にもモーガンはスルーパスに抜け出しボックス内でパスを受けるが、折り返しはGKがセーブする。
さらに、31分には浮き球をボックス内左でリンジー・ホランがハーフボレー。しかし、これもわずかに枠の左に外れる。
アメリカはベトナムを圧倒。猛攻を続け、終始押し込み続けていく。40分には、仕掛けたトリニティ・ロッドマンがボックス右に侵入。相手と交錯して倒れるが、PKは与えられない。しかし、VARチェックの後にオン・フィールド・レビューを実施。主審がチェックすると判定が覆りPKが与えられる。
アメリカはこのPKをモーガンが蹴るも、シュートはGKチャン・ティ・キム・タンがしっかりセーブ。モーガンは詰めるが、シュートは枠に飛ばずに追加点とはならない。
前半アディショナルタイムは8分と長い中、アディショナルタイム7分には後方からのボールをGKがパンチングでクリア。こぼれ球をソフィア・スミスが蹴り込むとこれがゴールに。しかし、オフサイドがあったとして認められず。それでも、VARチェックの結果、オフサイドはないと判断され、アメリカが追加点を奪った。
2-0で迎えた後半もアメリカが立ち上がり傘責め立てる。ベトナムゴールへ何度となくシュートを浴びせるが、得点にはつながらない。
攻めあぐねるアメリカは62分、ラピノーが途中出場。代表通算200試合目の出場となった。
アメリカの攻勢は止まらず、ラピノーはボックス内で何度かシュートチャンスを得るが、ミートできない。
それでも77分、アーツからのロングボールに反応したスミスがボックス内右からマイナスのクロス。ボックス中央でホランはワントラップからしっかりと右隅に決める。
試合の大勢を決めたアメリカは、それでも攻撃の手を緩めず。85分には左サイドからのグラウンダーのクロスをローズ・ラベルが右足でダイレクトシュート。しかし、これはクロスバーに嫌われる。
結局、終始圧倒したアメリカが3-0で完璧な勝利。初出場のベトナムはなんとか耐えていたが、シュートを1本も打てずに歴史的なW杯初戦で敗れた。
なお、勝利したアメリカは、第2戦で前回大会の決勝のカードの再現となるオランダ女子代表戦、敗れたベトナムは同じく初出場のポルトガル女子代表戦を控えている。
