後悔先に立たず。イギリス『デイリー・メール』が伝えている。
11月から12月にかけて行われたカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)は、アルゼンチン代表の36年ぶり3度目の優勝で幕を閉じた。
アルビセレステやエースFWリオネル・メッシ(パリ・サンジェルマン)の活躍に、アルゼンチン国内のファンは狂喜乱舞。パレードでは首都の広場を埋め尽くすほどのファンが集まり、パレード中の選手バスに飛び移ろうとしたサポーターが亡くなるなどの事故も起きた。
熱狂の渦は国外でも巻き起こり、コロンビアのインフルエンサーであるマイク・ジャムズ氏は、額に『MESSI』とアルファベットのタトゥーを刻印。頬にはW杯の優勝回数を示す星3つを刻んだ。
『デイリー・メール』によれば、公開時した写真には「愚かだ」と非難する声が寄せられていたが、ジャムズ氏は「誰も傷つけていないし、違法なことをしているわけではない」と主張した。
だが後日、「時計の針を戻せたらいいのに」との心変わり。「タトゥーを入れたことを後悔している。私にポジティブなものをもたらす代わりに、個人的にも家族的にも多くのネガティブなものをもたらした」と、自身以外にも家族への誹謗中傷があったことを明かした。
海外ではファッションや文化の1つとして支持されているタトゥーだが、場所やデザインは勢いに任せず、一考する必要がありそうだ。

コロンビアサッカー連盟(FCF)は23日、新しいホームユニフォームのデザインを発表した。
2019年からのユニフォームは、織物に触発されたデザインで、シャツの前面の伝統的な黄色と青の横糸で強調されたものだったが、今回はかなり基本に立ち返ったものとなった。
シャツは黄色一色で、襟と袖口はコロンビアの国旗に合わせて青と赤の縁取りが施されているほか、背面の首元にコロンビアの地図が国旗の3色で描かれている。また、ショーツに関しては、青地で両サイドに黄色の三本線が入っている。ソックスに関しては、赤地にこちらも黄色の三本線だ。
FCFはエバートンのMFハメス・ロドリゲスやDFジェリー・ミナ、レバークーゼンのDFサンティアゴ・アリアスらが着用したイメージを公開。かなりシンプルなデザインだったが、サポーターからは「黄色いパジャマ」「気に食わない」といった反発の声もあった。
コロンビア代表は、6月にアルゼンチンとの共同開催で行われるコパ・アメリカ2021でこの新ユニフォームを着用する予定だ。

カタールのアル・ラーヤンに所属するコロンビア代表MFハメス・ロドリゲスが娘のサロメちゃんと再会したことを自身のインスタグラムで報告。お父さんの顔に似てきたと話題を呼んでいる。
9月にアル・ラーヤンへ加入したハメスは、ここまで公式戦4試合に出場して1ゴール1アシスト。新天地で出場機会を得ると、11月のカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)南米予選に臨む代表メンバーにおよそ1年ぶりに招集され、ブラジル代表戦とパラグアイ代表戦の2試合に出場した。
コロンビアに帰国したハメスは、この期間を利用して娘のサロメちゃんとも会っていたようで、「会えて嬉しい」というコメントとともに2人で笑顔で並ぶ写真をインスタグラムに投稿している。
2人の表情はさすが親子と言わんばかりに似ており、笑った時の目元や口元がそっくりで、まるで兄弟のようだ。ファンからも「そっくりじゃん」「お父さん似!」「かわいらしい!」「娘ちゃん大きくなった」という声が集まっている。
ハメスは、コロンビア代表GKダビド・オスピナの妹であるダニエラさんと2010年に結婚。サロメちゃんが2013年に生まれたものの、2017年に離婚しており、今は単身カタールで過ごしている。

▽広州恒大が元コロンビア代表FWジャクソン・マルティネス(31)との契約を解除したようだ。フランス『レキップ』が報じている。
▽ポルト在籍時に、ポルトガルリーグ3年連続得点王に輝いたJ・マルティネスは、2015年の夏に移籍金3500万ユーロ(当時レート:約39億円)でアトレティコ・マドリーに加入。しかし、アトレティコでは成功を収められず、わずか半年で4200万ユーロ(当時レート:約55億円)の移籍金で中国スーパーリーグの広州恒大へ完全移籍した。
▽広州恒大でその得点力を取り戻すかと思われたが、2016年10月にヒザを負傷した影響もあり、在籍2年間で公式戦16試合に出場し4ゴール1アシストとかつての輝きを取り戻すことはできなかった。なお、広州恒大はJ・マルティネスと2019年末まで契約を残していたが、今回の契約解除に至ったようだ。
