IFFHS(国際サッカー歴史統計連盟)が、21世紀で最もプレーした選手のランキングを発表。トップ10には日本人選手もランクインした。
様々な統計を行うIFFHS。2022年までのデータを集計し、21世紀に入ってからのプレーした試合数をもとにランキングを作成した。
対象となるのは、各国のリーグ戦やカップ戦、国際カップ戦、代表チームの試合も含まれ、全ての公式戦が対象になっている。
今回の統計では1000試合以上プレーした選手が3人に増加。首位は昨年と変わらず、サウジアラビアへ活躍の場を移したポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウド(アル・ナスル)となり、1145試合を記録した。
2022年に1000試合を突破したのは、ブラジル代表DFダニエウ・アウベス(UNAMプーマス)とアルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシ(パリ・サンジェルマン)。アウベスは1033試合、メッシは1003試合となった。メッシはカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)での試合で1000試合を超えたことになる。
そんな中、8位には日本人がランクイン。941試合に出場したMF遠藤保仁(ジュビロ磐田)だ。遠藤はガンバ大阪と磐田、そして日本代表での試合が21世紀に含まれている。なお、アジア人でも唯一となり、900試合以上を達成しているのも12名となっている。

元ポルトガル代表MFリカルド・クアレスマ(40)が“最後の望み”を表明した。トルコ『Fanatik』が伝えている。
年齢を重ねるごとに輝きを増していった“アウトサイドの魔術師”リカルド・クアレスマ。10代で頭角を現すもバルセロナ、インテル、チェルシーへの移籍がことごとく失敗し、26歳でトルコ1部のベシクタシュへ移籍した2010-11シーズン以降は欧州5大リーグから完全にフェードアウトする。
それでもトルコに中東UAE、母国ポルトガルで地道にプレーし、精神面でも落ち着きを覚えていった、かつての“気まぐれな天才”。駆け出しの時代にポルトガル代表を長らく背負っていくと期待されたファンタジスタは、30歳を過ぎてようやくA代表の主力に定着し、2018年、ロシアW杯で34歳にしてワールドカップ初出場となった。
観る者を魅了するそのプレーぶりについてはもはや説明不要だが、2021-22シーズンにヴィトーリアを契約満了となって以降は無所属が続き引退状態に。しかしこの度、「まだ現役を終えていない」として声明。とりわけ深い愛着を持つクラブで最後にプレーしたいと表明した。
「何が起こるか見てみよう。僕のプロフットボーラーキャリアはまだ終わっていない。ベシクタシュ…それは僕のクラブであり、僕が最も愛するクラブ。何度も言ってきたように家族もそこで幸せだった。ベシクタシュで現役を終える可能性は間違いなくある」
クアレスマは2010年夏〜2013年冬、2015年夏〜2019年夏と、過去に2度ベシクタシュへ加入しており、クラブ通算227試合38得点77アシストという数字を誇る。今なおSNS投稿の大半がベシクタシュ時代を懐かしむものとなっており、流暢なトルコ語でサポーターへビデオメッセージを送ることも珍しくない。
無所属となってからは母国ポルトガルでフットサル大会へ参加するなどし、最近の映像を見る限りアスリート体型をキープし、コンディションもそれなりに整っていそうなクアレスマ。男40歳、どうしても最後にベシクタシュでプレーしたいようだ。

アル・ナスルのポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドの足の爪に注目が集まっている。イギリス『SPORTBIBLE』が伝えている。
先日自身のインスタグラムを更新し、趣味のサウナに入っているところを投稿したC・ロナウド。熱心なファンは、その筋骨隆々な肉体だけでなく、足の指を爪が黒く塗られていることに気が付いた。
C・ロナウドが足の爪を黒く塗るのはこれが初めてではなく、以前UFC世界ヘビー級王者のフランシス・ガヌーとの2ショットが話題になった時も、その爪に注目が集まっていた。
『SPORTBIBLE』によると、ドイツ『ビルト』の情報などをもとに、C・ロナウドが爪を黒く塗る理由が判明したという。
C・ロナウドに限らず、一部のアスリートは爪を菌やバクテリアから防ぐために、爪を塗ったり保護層で覆ったりするとのこと。多くのトップアスリートが行っており、元ボクシングヘビー級統一王者のマイク・タイソンもやっていたという。また、元UFCヘビー級王者のアンドレイ・アルロフスキーも同様にしていたようだ。
マニキュアの層が足の爪を覆うことで、試合中に爪が傷つく危険性を最小限に抑えることができるという。それは、C・ロナウドの「プロ意識の表れ」でもあると伝えている。
意外なところから注目を集めた話題だったが、こうした細かいこだわりや体への投資が、C・ロナウドが長く活躍する理由の1つのかもしれない。

過去にレイプ疑惑がかけられていたアル・ナスルのポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウド。アメリカの裁判所により申し立てが却下されていた中、弁護士から費用が支払われることとなったようだ。アメリカ『CNN』が伝えた。
C・ロナウドは、アメリカ人モデルのキャスリン・マヨルガさんからの告発により、2009年にラスベガスの高級ホテルのペイントハウススウィートでレイプした疑いが浮上は容疑を否定していたものの、C・ロナウド側が口止め料としてマヨルガさん側に37万5000ドル(約4275万円)を支払うとの契約書の存在を公表されていた。
マヨルガさんは、事件直後に和解に同意したものの、示談金を遥かに超える何百万ドルもの金額を求めるようになっていった。
しかし、2022年6月にアメリカの裁判所はマヨルガさんの弁護士であるレスリー・マーク・ストヴァル氏が、機密で特権的な“不正な”情報を文書を証拠にしているとして訴訟を却下。「C・ロナウドに対して悪意を持って傷つけようとしている」とされていた。
アメリカ地方裁判所のジェニファー・ドーシー判事は、マヨルガさんの弁護士であるレスリー・ストーバル氏がC・ロナウドに対して334,637.50ドル(約4500万円)を支払う判決を下していた。
なお、マヨルガさんは2度とこの件で訴訟を起こすことはできないこととなり、C・ロナウドのレイプ疑惑はこれにて終息を迎えることとなっ
た。
