欧州サッカー連盟(UEFA)は13日、2026年北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選の組み合わせ抽選会を実施した。
アメリカ、カナダ、メキシコの3カ国が共催する次のW杯。これまでの32カ国から、48カ国に出場国が増加し、規模が大きくなった初の大会となる。

データおよびテクノロジーにおけるリーディングカンパニーの「ニールセン・グレースノート」が、オーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)に出場する選手のインフルエンサーとしてのランキングを発表した。
なでしこジャパンも出場する女子W杯。開幕までおよそ1カ月となった中で、各国の出場選手も決定している。
「ニールセン・グレースノート」は出場する選手の中での、インフルエンサーとしてのランキングを発表。フォロワーやフォロワーの増加、エンゲージメント率など、インスタグラム上の投稿ごとの平均ブランド価値を評価してランキングを発表した。
トップ10が発表され、実に9カ国の選手がランクイン。アメリカ女子代表のみが唯一2選手がランクインしている。
1位に輝いたのは、アストン・ビラでプレーするスイス女子代表のアリーシャ・レーマン。世界一セクシーなアスリートとしても知られ、インスタグラムのフォロワーは1340万人。元プロテニスプレーヤーのロジャー・フェデラーを超え、インスタグラムで最も人気のあるスイス人アスリートとなっている。
アストン・ビラでは2シーズンでFA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)で43試合に出場し7ゴール。スイス代表としても38キャップを記録している。
2位には、バルセロナのエースでありスペイン女子代表のエースでもあるMFアレクシア・プテジャス。フォロワーは280万人であり、1位のレーマンがどれほどのフォロワーを抱えているかがわかる。
2シーズン連続でUEFA年間最優秀女子選手、バロンドールを受賞。2021年にはFIFA最優秀女子選手賞を受賞している。
2022年にはスペイン女子初となる代表100キャップに到達。その後、前十字じん帯を損傷し女子ユーロは欠場していた。
3位は、サンディエゴ・ウェーブスに所属するアメリカ女子代表FWアレックス・モーガン。フォロワーは1000万人だが、増加率やエンゲージメント率が低く、価値は3位となった。
言わずと知れたアメリカのエースで、過去2度のW杯優勝を経験。2012年のロンドン・オリンピックでは金メダルを獲得している。アメリカ女子代表として200キャップ以上を記録し、120ゴール以上を決めている。
4位はOHレインに所属するカナダ女子代表のFWジョーディン・ホイテマ。160万人以上のフォロワー数を持っている。

5位は6度目のW杯に臨むオーランド・プライドのブラジル女子代表FWマルタ。37歳にして6大会連続のゴールを目指すほか、すでに男女最多となるW杯で17ゴールを記録。これまでFIFA最優秀選手賞を6度受賞した名手だ。
プレーヤーとしての注目はもちろんのこと、インフルエンサーとしても注目を集める選手が多い女子W杯。残念ながらなでしこジャパンの選手はトップ10に入らなかったが、注目したいところだ。

豪華な顔ぶれがスタンドに並んで大きな話題となっている。
28日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)グループG第2戦のブラジル代表vsスイス代表。優勝候補のブラジルは負傷したエースのネイマールを欠きながらも、カゼミロのゴールでスイスに1-0で勝利を収めた。
これで連勝となったブラジルはグループステージの突破が決定。ネイマールを温存することが可能となった。
そのスイス戦だが、スタンドにも注目が集まることに。ブラジル代表の一戦を見守るため、レジェンドが集結した。
『ESPN』が投稿した写真に写ったレジェンドは4名。カカ、カフー、ロベルト・カルロス、ロナウドと、一時代を築いた選手たちが肩を並べた。
この4人はW杯でも共演しており、2006年のドイツW杯でチームメイトとしてプレー。ロナウジーニョなども含め、4人同時に先発も経験している。

▽双頭の鷲を表現したゴールパフォーマンスで問題視されていたスイス代表MFジェルダン・シャキリとMFグラニト・ジャカ、DFシュテファン・リヒトシュタイナーへの処分が決定したようだ。イギリス『BBC』が伝えている。
▽ロシア・ワールドカップ(W杯)初戦でブラジル代表と引き分けたスイスは、22日にセルビア代表と対戦。セルビアに先制点を許したものの、52分のジャカ、90分のシャキリのゴールで逆転勝利を収めた。そんな中、両選手がゴールを決めた際に魅せた両腕をクロスさせるパフォーマンスに政治的な意味があるとして問題視されていた。
▽シャキリとジャカは、共にアルバニアにルーツを持つ選手。迫害を受けた歴史的背景のあるセルビアとの一戦だったことを受け、アルバニア国旗に描かれる双頭の鷲を表現したとみられた。
▽一部報道ではそんな両選手に対して、罰金に加えて2試合の出場停止処分が科される可能性が伝えられていた。しかし、今回『BBC』が伝えるところによると、国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)が科した処分は罰金のみ。ジャカとシャキリには1万スイスフラン(約110万円)、シャキリのゴールの際に釣られて同パフォーマンスをしたとされるリヒトシュタイナーに5000スイスフラン(約55万円)の罰金が科された。
▽一方でセルビア側にも今回の一件に関して処分が。セルビアサッカー協会(FSS)スラビサ・コケーザ会長とセルビア代表のムラデン・クルスタイッチ監督には試合後のコメントに問題があったとして5000スイスフラン(約55万円)、サポーターによる差別的バナーの掲揚やピッチ内に物を投げ入れる行為があったとして、FSSに54000スイスフラン(約590万円)の罰金が科されている。

スイスサッカー協会(SFV)は28日、来月に行われるUEFAネーションズリーグ2020-21に向けたスイス代表メンバー23名を発表した。
前回大会を4位フィニッシュしたスイスを率いるウラジミール・ペトコビッチ監督は、MFグラニト・ジャカ(アーセナル)やGKヤン・ゾンマー(ボルシアMG)、DFマヌエル・アカンジ(ドルトムント)ら主力を順当に選出。
また、チューリッヒのDFベチル・オメラギッチ(FCチューリッヒ所属)とMFジモン・ゾーム(FCチューリッヒ所属)が初選出となった。

代表キャリアでギネス記録を保持している男が、最後の試合を戦った。
その選手はDFイルデフォン・リマ。アンドラ代表選手であり、現在43歳。代表キャリアは26年となった。
バルセロナ生まれのリマは、FCアンドラの下部組織育ち。1997年に昇格すると、エスパニョールのBやサント・アンドレウ、パチューカ、ラス・パルマス、ラージョ・バジェカーノなどでプレーした。
2012年7月にイタリアのトリエスティーナから古巣のFCアンドラへと復帰。その後チームを離れ、サンタ・コロマ、エスカルデスとアンドラ国内でプレーし、2022年9月からはFCアンドラのBチームでプレーしている。
アンドラ代表としてデビューしたのは、1997年6月のこと。17歳6カ月12日でデビューし、実に26年間、代表チームでプレー。キャプテンも務めていた。
2021年にはギネス世界記録に、代表選手としての最年長キャリアを達成した男子選手として認定。なお、女子選手では、1995年から2021年まで26年間ブラジル女子代表としてプレーしたフォルミガがいる。
そのリマは、12日に行われたユーロ2024予選のスイス代表戦に出場。43歳と276日での出場となり、キャプテンとして右サイドバックで起用されると、23分で交代。その際にはアンドラだけでなく、スイスのファンもスタンディングオベーションを行い、レジェンドを称えた。なお、試合は3-0で敗戦。リマの代表キャリアは136試合で11ゴールに終わった。
136試合のうち、リマが勝利したのは6試合のみ。結果だけ見れば輝かしい成績とは言えないが、人口わずか7万9000人しかいないアンドラにおいては英雄であり、ユーロ予選でプレーした最年長選手ともなった。ちなみに、アンドラ代表の最多ゴール保持者でもある。
