未来の日本代表候補が活躍を見せている。
ポルトガル国内のカップ戦であるアリアンツ・カップのグループステージグループE、ポルティモネンセvsジル・ヴィセンテが行われ、0-3でジル・ヴィセンテが勝利を収めた。
ポルティモネンセの中村航輔はフル出場、川﨑修平はメンバー外。ジル・ヴィセンテの藤本寛也は66分までプレーして1得点、新井瑞希はメンバー外となっている。
ジル・ヴィセンテは序盤から幾度も危機を迎えたが、ポストやGKの好セーブもあって無失点でしのぐと、前半終了間際に藤本のシュートがボックス内で相手DFのハンドを誘発。千載一遇のチャンスを得た。
だが、ここで立ちはだかったのがGK中村。フラン・ナバーロのキックを完璧に読み切り、左隅へのシュートを見事に防ぐと、セカンドボールへもいち早く反応し、相手のファウルもあってポルティモネンセは失点を免れた。
チャンスを逸したジル・ヴィセンテだったが、直後にCKからルーカス・クーニャがヘディングでネットを揺らすと、63分には藤本が決める。
ペナルティアーク左でマイナスのパスを受けた藤本は、味方へ預けてボックス内へ侵入。リターンを収めたムリロからボールを引き取るように持ち出し、最後は左足でGK中村の頭上を越す技ありの一発を沈めた。
終盤にはフラン・ナバーロが追加点を挙げ、ジル・ヴィセンテは3-0と快勝。グループステージ突破を決めた。
ノックアウト方式となる21日の準々決勝では、グループAの首位チームと対戦。順当にいけば、ポルトが抜けると目されている。

ジル・ヴィセンテのMF藤本寛也が今季2つ目のアシストを記録した。
ポルトガルの地で背番号10を背負う藤本。今季は自身初となるヨーロッパコンペティション、ヨーロッパ・カンファレンスリーグ(ECL)予選プレーオフにも出場した。
11日にはプリメイラ・リーガ第6節でマリティモとのアウェイゲームに臨んだ。藤本は開幕戦から6試合連続となる先発出場。ビハインドで迎えた後半開始早々に同点ゴールをお膳立てした。
48分、左サイドでMFペドロ・ティバが仕掛けから裏へパスを送ると、ハイサイドを取った藤本が最深部からグラウンダーで折り返す。これをFWフラン・ナバーロが流し込んで同点に追い付いた。
ジル・ヴィセンテは85分にも再びF・ナバーロが決めて逆転勝ち。2勝2分け2敗と星を五分に戻し、10位に付けている。また、今季東京ヴェルディから加入したMF新井瑞希は、ベンチ入りも出番なしに終わっている。
