ヴィッセル神戸は2日、同日に行われる明治安田J1リーグ第2節の柏レイソル戦における指揮について発表した。
ホーム開幕戦となる神戸だが、吉田孝行監督が体調不良で不在に。この試合では菅原智コーチが暫定的に指揮を執るという。
連覇を目指す神戸は先のジュビロ磐田戦を2-0で制し、白星スタート。今節は連勝がかかっている。

サッカーの王様・ペレやネイマールなどブラジルを代表する選手たちを輩出している名門・サントスが、史上初の2部降格の悲劇となった。
2023シーズンのカンピオナート・ブラジレイロ・セリエA(ブラジル1部)は、7日に最終節が行われてレギュラーシーズンが終了。名門・サントスは不調が続くと、最終節でフォルタレザに1-2で敗戦。残留を争っていたバイーアがアトレチコ・ミネイロに4-1で勝利し、最終節で降格圏に転落していた。
サントス(17位)、ゴイアス(18位)、コリチーバ(19位)、アメリカ・ミネイロ(20位)の4チームは、2024シーズンはセリエBでプレーすることが決定。ゴイアス、コリチーバ、アメリカ・ミネイロの3チームは、最も多くの降格を経験したチームであり、今回が7度目の降格となった。
一方で、サントスは史上初の2部降格。フラメンゴ、サンパウロと歴史のある2クラブと共にその名誉を保っていたが、今回ついに陥落することとなった。
サントスFCは1912年に誕生した名門クラブ。ブラジルで初めて南米王者に輝くなど歴史があり、セリエAで8度も優勝を経験。前述のペレやネイマールの他、ロビーニョらがプレー。また、現在も現役でプレーするFW三浦知良(オリヴェイレンセ)や前園真聖、菅原智ら日本人選手も在籍経験があるクラブだ。
また、今季限りで鹿島アントラーズを退団したMFディエゴ・ピトゥカが来季から加入することが決定。今季は、昨シーズンまで柏レイソルでプレーしていたMFドッジも所属していた。
史上初の悲劇に見舞われたサントス。ホームでの敗戦という屈辱を味わった中、スタジアムの外ではサポーターによる破壊行為や暴動、車への放火など大荒れだった。
試合中にはスタンドから発煙筒や花火が投げ込まれる荒れた状況。試合後には「恥知らずなチーム」と叫ばれ、椅子やものが投げ込まれ続ける事態に。クラブにとって、そしてファン・サポーターにとって初めて味わう悲劇の影響は大きくなっている。

ブラジルのサントスが23日、2023-24シーズンの3rdユニフォームを発表している。
“サッカーの王様”ペレ氏や、ブラジル代表FWネイマール(アル・ヒラル)、ブラジル代表FWロドリゴ(レアル・マドリー)らを輩出してきたブラジルの名門サントス。元日本代表FWの三浦知良(オリヴェイレンセ)や元日本代表MF前園真聖氏、MF菅原智氏ら日本人選手も在籍したことがある。
その3rdユニフォームは、サントスと日本の関係にも触れたデザインに。青を基調とした襟付きのシャツに、鯉と波のデザインを全体に描かれているほか、袖口には「JAPAN」の文字と日の丸があしらわれている。
今から115 年前の 1908 年 6 月 18 日に、ブラジル移民船「笠戸丸」がサントスの港に到着したことから始まった日本とサントスの関係。それ以降も、1972年にはペレ氏擁するサントスが国立競技場で日本代表と対戦したり、当時は日本代表と海外クラブの対戦も行われていた「キリンカップ」で1985年に来日していた。
サントスはユニフォームの発表動画では渋谷のスクランブル交差点を再現。日本との関係性から誕生した1枚となっている。

キックオフからたったの9秒で退場する事件が起こった。
17日には、今季からアンタルヤスポルへと完全移籍したMF中島翔哉が途中出場から15秒で一発退場になるということが話題に。これは世界でも大きく取り扱われることとなったが、それをすぐに更新する珍事が起きたのだ。
それは18日に行われたリーグ・アン第8節のニースvsアンジェの一戦。2021年夏にバルセロナから完全移籍で加入したDFジャン=クレール・トディボだった。
ニースの主軸CBとしてプレーするトディボは、アンジェ戦にも先発出場する。
するとキックオフからアンジェがパスを繋いで縦に。するとパスに抜け出そうとしたアブダラー・シマに対して、トディボがチャージ。このプレーに主審がすぐさまレッドカードを提示したのだ。
ファウルが起きたのはキックオフからおよそ5秒後。カードが出されたのは9秒となった。
これはヨーロッパの5大リーグでは最速の退場記録となったとのこと。衝撃の珍プレーとなってしまった。
ちなみに、Jリーグでは現在はヴィッセル神戸のアシスタントコーチを務める菅原智氏が東京ヴェルディ時代の2009年4月15日、サガン鳥栖戦で試合9秒で退場。大黒将志がキックオフから戻したボールを菅原はCBが受けると思いスルー。しかし、パスは両CBの間に転がったため慌てて対応し、池田圭を掴んで倒していた。

ヴィッセル神戸は21日、トップチームの体制変更を発表した。
AFCチャンピオンズリーグのプレーオフこそ突破したものの、肝心の明治安田生命J1リーグで4分け3敗の16位でスタートダッシュに失敗した神戸。20日、三浦淳寛監督との契約を解除しての再建を決断した。
三浦前監督の退任段階で未定だった新指揮官だが、元FC今治の監督であり、今季からヤングプレーヤーデベロップメントコーチを務めるリュイス・プラナグマ・ラモス氏(41)の暫定的な指揮が決まった。
再建を託されたリュイス新監督は1999年に母国スペインのエスパニョール下部組織で指導者キャリアをスタート。その後も母国のクラブを渡り歩き、2020年から今治の監督として来日し、昨年途中まで指揮した。
クラブを通じて、「この素晴らしいクラブを率いることができ、本当に光栄な思いです」と意気込みを語っている。

また、スポーツダイレクターに昨季途中まで東京ヴェルディを率いた永井秀樹氏(51)が就任。パワーハラスメント問題で日本サッカー協会(JFA)から1年間のS級指導者ライセンス停止処分を受けたなかでの入閣となった。

90分間の大部分を10人で戦わなければならなくなってしまった。
12日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選グループI第9節、アンドラ代表vsポーランド代表が行われたが、この試合では異例ともいえる速さで退場者を出すこととなった。
キックオフ後、アンドラは最終ラインにボールを下げ、前線へと長いボールを送る。アンドラFWリカール・フェルナンデス・ベトリウとポーランドDFカミル・グリクとの空中戦となると、この際にベトリウの肘がグリクの顔へとヒット。主審はホイッスルを鳴らして歩み寄ると、胸元からレッドカードを取り出した。
あまりにも早過ぎるキックオフからわずか20秒足らずでの退場劇。記録上は1分と記載されているが、これでアンドラはほぼ90分を数的不利で戦うことになってしまった。
ポーランドを相手にはあまりにも厳しい条件を背負うこととなり、案の定、直後の5分にロベルト・レヴァンドフスキに先制点を献上。11分にも追加点を許した。一時は1点差に追い付く健闘を見せたが、結果的には1-4で敗戦。序盤の退場の影響は小さくなかったようだ。
Jリーグでは東京ヴェルディのMF菅原智が2009年4月15日のJ2第8節サガン鳥栖戦で開始9秒で受けたレッドカード(記録上は1分)が最速とされている。なお、この試合では2-0で東京Vが勝利を収めている。
