ローマは21日、フランクフルトを退団したコートジボワール代表DFエヴァン・エンディカ(23)の完全移籍加入を発表した。
契約は2028年夏までの5年間。背番号は「5」に決定した。
ローマへの移籍が決定したエンディカはクラブを通じてコメントしている。
「僕に説明されたこのプロジェクトは、このクラブの歴史と名声とともに、サッカーを愛し、サッカーで繁栄する素晴らしい都市であるローマに来るきっかけとなった」

エンディカはカメルーン人の父とコートジボワール人の母の間にパリで誕生。オセールの下部組織で育ち、2017年1月にファーストチームに昇格。2018年7月にフランクフルトへと完全移籍した。
フランクフルトでは若くして頭角を表すと、公式戦183試合に出場し12ゴールを、ブンデスリーガでも134試合で10ゴールを記録し、昨シーズンはヨーロッパリーグ(EL)優勝にも大きく貢献した。
フランスの世代別代表を経験してきたエンディカだったが、母の母国であるコートジボワール代表でプレーすることを決断している。

ローマのジョゼ・モウリーニョ監督(60)は今シーズンが就任3年目だ。『フットボール・イタリア』が伝えている。
チェルシー時代にプレミアリーグ優勝3回、ポルトとインテルでチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)優勝計2回などなど、指導者キャリアで数多くのタイトルを獲得してきたモウリーニョ監督。ローマでは就任1年目にヨーロッパ・カンファレンスリーグ(ECL)を制し、クラブに初の欧州タイトルをもたらした。
“スペシャル・ワン”を自称するに相応しい功績を持つわけだが、同時に「モウリーニョが率いて3年目のチームは成績が下降する」という、いわゆる“3年目のジンクス”も広く知られる。そう、今シーズンのローマがこれに該当する。
ECL制覇の2021-22シーズンに続き、昨季もセリエAで6位、ヨーロッパリーグ(EL)で準優勝と一定の成果を残したローマ。しかし、今季はセリエA開幕6試合で1勝2分け3敗の16位と完全に停滞。直近の試合は昇格組ジェノアに1-4で敗れている。
モウリーニョ監督のキャリアを振り返ると、レアル・マドリー、チェルシー(2期目)、マンチェスター・ユナイテッドで3年目途中の解任を経験。指揮官はジェノア戦後『DAZN』のインタビューで「キャリア最悪のスタートダッシュだが、泣いている暇はない。心の中で泣き、次の試合へ努力する」と語るも、ロマニスタから“3年目のジンクス”を心配されても無理のない状況に陥っている。
ただ、これにはローマの財政事情も少なからず影響。ファイナンシャル・フェアプレー(FFP)により、「(今夏の)移籍市場での選択肢がほとんどなく、負傷者が出るたびに選手層も薄れていく状態」だという。実際、ベルギー代表FWロメル・ルカクとポルトガル代表MFレナト・サンチェスはレンタル移籍、アルジェリア代表MFフセム・アワール、コートジボワール代表DFエヴァン・エンディカはフリー移籍での補強だった。

ローマは18日、2024-25シーズンの新ユニフォームを発表した。
2023-24シーズンはシーズン途中にジョゼ・モウリーニョ監督が退任し、ダニエレ・デ・ロッシ監督が就任したローマ。チームは6位でフィニッシュし、新シーズンのヨーロッパの大会出場を決めている。
そのローマは、アディダスと共に新ユニフォームを発表。カンポ・テスタッチョの時代からインスピレーションを得ている。
カンポ・テスタッチョは、ローマ発祥の地でありホームスタジアムだった場所の名前。1929年11月3日に最初の試合が行われ、ブレシアと対戦した。
当時に思いを馳せ、今からおよそ90年前の1933-34シーズンに使われたシーズンチケットのカラーリングを採用。ダークレッドとゴールドをユニフォームに使用した。
デザインは非常にシンプルなものとなっており、ボディはダークレッドに、ゴールドの細いストライプが5本入り、さらに濃い赤のストライプが間に入っている。
肩に入るアディダスのスリーラインや右胸のアディダスロゴはゴールドで施され、左胸のクラブロゴはユニフォームと同じカラーリングで統一されている。
男女共に同じユニフォームを着用するため、なでしこジャパンのDF熊谷紗希、DF南萌華もこのユニフォームを着用。モデルにはアルゼンチン代表FWパウロ・ディバラや、イタリア代表MFロレンツォ・ペッレグリーニ、コートジボワール代表DFエヴァン・エンディカ、MFエドアルド・ボーヴェらがモデルを務めた。
ファンは新ユニフォームに「これはカッコいい」、「リークのよりも断然良く見える」、「選手が着るとヤバい」、「美しい色合い」、「素晴らしい出来」とコメント。また、お決まりのポーズを取ったディバラには「カッコ良すぎる」、「最高だ」、「いつまでも愛してる」と、絶賛の声が集まっている。

マルセイユのアルゼンチン代表DFレオナルド・バレルディ(26)がローマ移籍に関心を示しているようだ。イタリア『ガゼッタ・デッロ・スポルト』が報じている。
元ドイツ代表DFマッツ・フンメルスが今シーズン限りで退団し、ガラタサライからレンタル加入中のデンマーク代表DFヴィクトル・ネルソンの買い取りの可否、コートジボワール代表DFエヴァン・エンディカにも流出の可能性が報じられているローマ。
今夏の移籍市場ではセンターバック補強が優先事項に挙げられるなか、マルセイユのキャプテンの獲得に動いているようだ。
報道によれば、バレルディは、ローマでプレーする代表の先輩であるFWパウロ・ディバラとMFレアンドロ・パレデスから強力なサポートを受けているという。そして、選手自身もこのチャンスを熱望し、夏の移籍に同意。両クラブ間の交渉もすでに始まっている模様だ。
ボカ・ジュニアーズの下部組織出身でドルトムントを経て2020年7月にマルセイユ入りしたバレルディは、現代型のセンターバックとしてリーグ・アンでもトップクラスの評価を得ている。
