髪型をトレードマークとするサッカー選手は少なくないが、横浜FCのブラジル人FWサウロ・ミネイロ(24)もその1人だ。
昨季夏に途中加入したサウロ・ミネイロは、フィジカルとスピードを武器に最前線で奮闘。明治安田生命J1リーグ第30節の横浜F・マリノスとのダービーでの2ゴールを含め、リーグ戦では11試合4得点を記録していた。
頼もしいストライカーのトレードマークと言えばヘアスタイルだろう。頭の左前部に施されたハートマークは、8月のデビュー時には縁取りのみだったが、1カ月後には金色に。瞬く間に周囲の目を集めることとなった。
その金のハートは今年も健在だ。サウロ・ミネイロのヘアスタイルを担当する美容師の三善康平さんはインスタグラムでツーショットなどを公開。ハートマークがひと際目を惹くサウロ・ミネイロの写真も投稿した。
横浜市内のヘアサロンに勤める三善康平さんは、これまでにブラジル代表FWリシャルリソンや日本代表FWオナイウ阿道などスタイリングも担当。「外国人風メンズスタイルはお任せ下さい」と自信も覗かせている。
1年でのJ1復帰を目指すべく、現在は和歌山県上富田町でキャンプ中の横浜FC。サウロ・ミネイロのパワーにはもちろん、ヘアスタイルにも注目だ。

5月9日のヴィッセル神戸との好調チーム同士対決を制し、暫定3位に浮上した横浜F・マリノス。2月26日の今季開幕・川崎フロンターレ戦を0-2で落とした時には、タイトル奪還を狙うアンジェ・ポステコグルー監督も険しい表情を浮かべていたが、続く3月7日のサンフレッチェ広島戦から11戦無敗。2位・名古屋グランパスが川崎戦に連敗し、鹿島アントラーズにも苦杯を喫しているだけに、消化試合数の少ない横浜が川崎追走一番手になりそうな雰囲気だ。
トリコロールの好調を支える1人が、最前線に位置するFWオナイウ阿道だ。広島戦で今季初得点を挙げた後は同僚FW前田大然のゴールラッシュを横目で見ることが多かった。しかし、4月6日のセレッソ大阪戦で5試合ぶりの今季2点目を奪うと、4月16日の北海道コンサドーレ札幌戦、24日の横浜FCとのダービー、5月1日のFC東京戦で合計6ゴールの固め取り。前田の8点に並ぶとともに、J1得点ランキングでもアンデルソン・ロペス(札幌)、レアンドロ・ダミアン(川崎)、古橋享梧(神戸)に続く暫定4位につけている。
「今年は思いを言葉にすることが大事だと考えてます。『自分が点を取るんだ』とつねづね頭で思ってたり、口にすることで、結果につながってくることがあると僕は思っているんです。試合中のチャンスは何十回もあるわけじゃないし、1つ1つ決めれるかどうかでチームの勝ち点が3か0になる。それは大きな違いです。去年は決めきれないシーンが多かったので、『あそこ(自分)に入れば絶対に点を取れる』という存在になっていきたいと強く思ってます」
オナイウは開幕直前にこう語気を強めていた。その発言通り、プロ8年目となる2021年は自分の中でやるべきことを言語化し、頭でイメージして、時に発信するように努めているのだろう。それが目に見える成果となって表れているのは素晴らしいこと。この調子で行けば、1年半ぶりの日本代表復帰もあるかもしれない。
森保一監督に前回呼ばれたのは、2019年11月のベネズエラ戦(大阪・吹田)。大分トリニータに所属していた当時はチーム最大の得点源として輝きを放っていた。2018年はJ2ながら22ゴールを叩き出し、2019年もJ1で2ケタゴールに到達した。そうやって数字がついてくれば、FWというのは指揮官の目に留まるもの。それは本人も自覚していた。
「FWは結果が一番。試合で使ってもらえた時にゴール、アシスト、ゴールにかかわるプレーっていうのをどれだけできるかが前線の選手の仕事。質も高いものを見せられるかが大事。そこは自分に言い聞かせながらやりたいと思ってます」とこの合宿時に彼は自戒を込めて語っていた。
だが、この時期にチャンスをつかんだのは、同じくJで活躍して代表入りした鈴木武蔵(ベールスホット)の方。鈴木は2019年9月にスタートした2022年カターW杯アジア2次予選にコンスタントに帯同。大迫勇也(ブレーメン)のバックアップ一番手と目されるまでになってきた。フィジカルの強さと得点感覚の鋭さという武器が共通するオナイウとしては、鈴木に負けじと再浮上のきっかけをつかみたいところ。2014年AFC・U-19選手権(ミャンマー)でコンビを組んだ南野拓実(サウサンプトン)が今やエースナンバー10を背負う絶対的存在になっていることもあって、「同じ土俵に立ちたい」という野心も内に秘めているはずだ。
「拓実君から盗んでいけるところもあるし、他のFWから学べるところも沢山ある。それを吸収して自分の力にしていければと思ってます。僕は(ジェフ)千葉でプロになってから、浦和(レッズ)で試合に出られず、J2の(レノファ)山口へ行き、大分で代表に初めて呼んでもらえるようになった。苦労した分、代表への思いは強いです。代表っていうのはサッカーをやってる人間全員が目指しているところ。この責任感や喜びを感じながらプレーしたいです」
1年半前にしみじみとこう語っていたオナイウ。彼は代表復帰の価値をよく理解している人間だ。そういうFWが好調を維持しているのだから、今こそ、チャンスを与えられてしかるべきではないか。タイミングのいいことに、直近の5月末～6月にかけて代表活動期間が迫っている。ここで招集されるか否かは大きな注目点と言っていい。
今回は5月28日に予定されるミャンマー戦こそ欧州組のみで戦うが、ここで最終予選進出を決められれば、その数人が離脱する見通し。となれば、6月のタジキスタン戦やキルギス戦、親善試合2戦は国内組に出番が巡ってくる。オナイウのようなキャップ数ゼロの選手にとっても千載一遇のチャンス。これを逃す手はないのだ。
3月シリーズでも、日韓戦(日産)初キャップの山根視来(川崎)がいきなり初ゴールを挙げ、モンゴル戦(千葉)では稲垣祥(名古屋)が代表デビュー戦2ゴールと気を吐いた。その活躍が彼らにとって大きな自信につながり、4月以降のJリーグでも明確な結果となって表れている。オナイウもその流れに続きたい。
そのためにも、まずはマリノスの試合で結果を出し続けることが肝要だ。首尾よくメンバー入りできれば、ゴールという結果でアピールするしかない。代表で生き残る選手というのは、2010年南アフリカW杯・カメルーン戦(ブルームフォンテーヌ)で決勝弾を挙げた本田圭佑(ネフチ・バクー)に象徴される通り、ここ一番で勝利を引き寄せる結果を出せる人間だけ。25歳の点取屋は今、人生の大きな岐路に立っているといっても過言ではない。

横浜F・マリノスは23日、浦和レッズの元日本代表FW杉本健勇(28)を期限付き移籍で獲得したことを発表した。
期限付き移籍期間は2022年1月31日まで。今季の浦和との公式戦には出場できない。背番号は「41」。
杉本はセレッソ大阪の下部組織出身で、2010年6月にプロ契約を結美、同年7月にトップチーム昇格を果たす。
2011年にトップチームデビューを果たすと、初ゴールはなんと横浜FM戦。2012年には、ロンドン・オリンピックの候補メンバーだったものの、出場機会を確保するために東京ヴェルディへと期限付き移籍。4カ月間という短期契約だったが、18試合に出場し5得点3アシストを記録すると、1チーム3人までという招集制限の結果、MF清武弘嗣、MF山口蛍、MF扇原貴宏と4名の選出となることも回避でき、東京Vの選手としてオリンピック出場を果たした。
その後C大阪に戻るも、2015年には川崎フロンターレへと完全移籍。しかし、1年でC大阪へと復帰すると、2019年に浦和へと完全移籍していた。
浦和では2シーズン半分で明治安田J1通算70試合に出場し6得点と、期待された得点での貢献はあまりできていなかった。また日本代表としても、2017年、2018年に8試合に出場し1得点を記録している。

トゥールーズは7日、2022-23シーズンのホームユニフォームを発表した。
今シーズンから日本代表FWオナイウ阿道も所属するトゥールーズは、7日に行われたリーグ・ドゥ(フランス2部)第37節のニーム戦に勝利。すでに昇格を決めていた中、1試合を残してのリーグ優勝も決めた。
ニーム戦では、2022-23シーズンのホームユニフォームを一足早く着用し、ファンにお披露目となった。
2021-22シーズンはクラブカラーでもある紫をベースにしたユニフォームを着用しているトゥールーズだが、引き続きスウェーデンのブランド『CRAFT』がデザインを手掛ける2022-23シーズンのユニフォームはホワイトベースに変更。紫はアクセントカラーになっており、ストライプのライン、襟、袖口に採用されている。
ショーツは紫がベースで、ソックスについてはホワイトがベースだ。
このユニフォームを着用したニーム戦では、オナイウもゴール。1部での戦いとなる来シーズンも、この鮮やかなユニフォームをまといゴールを量産できるか。

トゥールーズに所属するFWオナイウ阿道の愛娘が愛くるしい。
2021年6月にキリンチャレンジカップ2021のセルビア代表戦で日本代表デビューを果たしたオナイウ。同年夏に海を渡り、活躍の場を横浜F・マリノスからフランスに移している。
28日には自身のインスタグラムを更新。家族写真を公開した。
家族4人での幸せフォトや、着物姿でカメラに目を向ける長女の姿には、ファンからも祝福の声や感嘆の声が届いている。
