ユベントスのチアゴ・モッタ監督が14日に行われたセリエA第16節、2-2で引き分けたヴェネツィア戦を振り返った。

3日前のチャンピオンズリーグではマンチェスター・シティに勝利し、勢いを持って最下位チームをホームに迎えた一戦。しかしDFフェデリコ・ガッティのゴールで先制する展開としながらも後半に逆転を許し、追加タイムに得たPKで辛くも引き分けに持ち込む結果となった。

これでセリエAでは4戦連続ドロー、16試合で10引き分けと勝ちきれない試合が続いている。前節ボローニャ戦退席の影響で指揮を執れなかったモッタ監督は引き分けの結果に当然ながら満足していない。
｢守備のしっかりしたチームを相手に我々は良いパフォーマンスを発揮できなかった。もっと良くならなければならない。試合前にも言ったがCLは別。チームは進歩する必要がある。リードをしたらもっと多くのチャンスを作り、試合を終わらせるために攻撃し続けなければならない。我々はそれをせず相手に追いつかれ、逆転を許してしまった｣

試合後にホームのサポーターからブーイングを浴びせられたことを受けてモッタ監督は｢良い状況ではないが、こういったことは起こること。我々は団結してチームのために前進する必要がある。全員でこの状況を変えたいと思っている｣と団結を呼びかけた。
