モナコがザルツブルク守護神ケーンを獲得! ニューベルの後釜に

モナコは15日、レッドブル・ザルツブルクからスイス代表GKフィリップ・ケーン(25)を完全移籍で獲得したことを発表した。契約期間は2028年6月30日までの5年となる。

シャルケやシュツットガルトの下部組織育ちのケーンは、2017年にRBライプツィヒに加入。しかし、同クラブでプレーすることなく、翌年にザルツブルクへ完全移籍。リザーブチームにあたるリーフェリング、スイスのFCウィルでの武者修行を経て、2021–22シーズンからオーストリア屈指の強豪の守護神に定着した。

また、U-18チームまではドイツ代表の世代別チームでプレーしたが、U-19チームから母親の母国であるスイス代表に変更。デビューは果たしていないが、フル代表にも招集されている。
一方、モナコでは直近2シーズンに渡ってドイツ人GKアレクサンダー・ニューベルが正GKを務めてきた。しかし、同選手がバイエルンへローンバックしたことで、新守護神探しが今夏の優先事項となっていた。

そういった中、アディ・ヒュッター新監督と新任のスポーツディレクターであるチアゴ・スクーロ氏は、かつて自分たちが仕事をしてきた『レッドブル・グループ』の伝手を生かし、新守護神の獲得に成功した。

「分かるぞその気持ち」キックオフでドリブルした南野拓実に“経験者”が反応「正直ごまかすしかない」

「メンツエグすぎる!」12年前のU-17W杯で世界を沸かせた”94ジャパン”メンバーたちが再会!「スゴい面子」
