日本代表MF守田英正の妻である藤阪れいなさんが戦いを終えた夫を労った。守田は流通経済大学から2018年に川崎フロンターレへと入団。プロ1年目に日本代表に初招集。その後日本代表を離れていたが、川崎Fで結果を残すと2021年1月にポルトガルのサンタ・クララへと完全移籍する。
ヨーロッパに挑戦した守田はいきなり高いパフォーマンスを披露すると、2年ぶりに日本代表復帰。するとカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)のアジア最終予選でも存在感を発揮し軸としてプレー。今シーズンからは名門・スポルティングCPに完全移籍し、さらにレベルアップを果たした。
カタールW杯ではコンディションの問題で初戦のドイツ代表戦を欠場したものの、第2戦のコスタリカ代表戦からは3試合でプレー。中盤で守備の強度を見せ、初のW杯でも奮闘した。

守田英正がスポルティングと契約更新へ、2028年までの年俸1.2億円に改善か

「まさに死闘ってカンジ」歴史に残るバーレーンとの4-3の激闘!2004年大会プレイバックに反響「このゴールで中澤佑二に惚れた」

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン
