元イングランド代表のジェイミー・キャラガー氏が、カタール・ワールドカップ開幕に先駆けて、自己流のスリーライオンズのメンバー26名を明かした。

いよいよ開幕まで10日ほどに迫ったカタールW杯。日本代表をはじめ、各国のメンバーが続々と発表されており、イングランド代表も10日にガレス・サウスゲイト監督から伝えられる見込みだ。

正規のメンバー発表に先駆けて、イングランドのご意見番であるキャラガー氏が、独自のスカッドをツイッターで発表。注目は現在負傷離脱中のカイル・ウォーカーとカルヴァン・フィリップス選出か。前者は鼠蹊部の手術で10月初旬から離脱中、後者は肩のケガで9月中旬以降、ピッチに立てていない。

キャラガー氏から選考理由は特に言及されなかったが、サプライズとなるような選手はおらず、順当な選出といった印象。果たしてサウスゲイト監督との相違は。

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】
