契約は2026年まで。契約に4500万ユーロ(約61億3000万円)のリリース条項が設定され、ポルトガルの名門入りが決まったセン・ジュステは「ここに来られてすごく興奮しているし、幸せだ。本当に始めるのが待ち遠しいよ」と喜びの心境を語った。
セン・ジュステはスピードが売りのセンターバックで、2019夏に4年契約でマインツ入り。今季はケガの影響で公式戦8試合の出場にとどまったが、以前からスポルティング・リスボンの関心が取り沙汰され、移籍濃厚と報じられていた。

菅原由勢はアピールに“失敗”したのか?右のスペシャリストが45分で表現したもの
キックオフ直後から、気合という燃料を積んでいることは明らかだった。このチャンスを、モノにしてやるんだ。攻守両面でのアグレッシブなプレーから、この試合に懸ける思いは全身から溢れ出ていた。タフに右サイドを守りながら、同学年のMF久保建英と一緒に決定機も演出した。サイドバックを本職とする選手が生み出すハーモニーが顔を覗かせていたからこそ、後半開始のピッチに背番号2の姿がなかったことに驚き、ガッカリしてしまった。 誰よりも落胆していたのは本人だろう。もっとプレーしたかった。まだまだアピールしたかった。あの時、ああいう選択をしていれば──。後悔に似た気持ちは、自分の中を隅々まで探せばキリがないかもしれない。 それでも、試合後のミックスゾーンで悔しさに引っ張られている様子はあまり感じられなかった。下を向いて言葉を探す場面も少なくはなかったが、要所要所で顔を上げ、成長や向上を誓っていた。その瞳は真っ直ぐで、力強いものだった。 DF菅原由勢が日本代表の先発に名を連ねたのは、約8カ月ぶりのことだった。前回は2025年3月25日に行われたW杯アジア最終予選の第8節サウジアラビア代表戦まで遡る。その後は代表の常連とは言えない時期を過ごした。9月の北米遠征では招集されるも、プレータイムはアメリカ代表戦で後半から途中出場した18分のみ。ブラジル代表を撃破した10月シリーズでは招集されなかった。今回の11月シリーズでは、初戦のガーナ代表戦で出場機会を得るも、68分からのプレーであり、すでに2-0と勝負が決まっている状況だった。 失意のベスト8に終わったAFCアジアカップ2024以降、システムが4バックから3バックに変更した影響もあり、明らかに出場機会を減らしていた。カタールW杯後の第二次森保ジャパン発足時、右サイドバックという本職のポジション自体がなくなることを想像していただろうか。敵地でのドイツ代表撃破にもアシストで貢献していただけに、、まさか「当落線上」という言葉が付き纏うことになるとは……。 生き物のように変化が目まぐるしい代表チームで、もう一度、自分の居場所を確保するために──。5万人以上が駆けつけた国立競技場でのボリビア代表戦、キックオフの笛がピッチ内にいる自身の心臓を震わせた。 ■先制点を生んだ堅守 開始直後に左サイドでボールの奪い合いが発生する中、右サイドのタッチライン沿いに立ち、両手を広げてボールを呼び込む。GK早川友基からのハイボールに対し、フルパワーで落下地点に向かって走る。目の前の相手に構うことなくジャンピングヘッドを狙う。わずかにボールに当たらなかったが、最後尾に向かって親指を立てた。 意気軒昂と右サイドを走ると、開始早々の4分のことだった。 FW小川航基からのパスを目の前で相手選手にカットされたが、すぐさま右足を踏ん張り、一気に寄せた。持ち上がりを阻むだけでなく、左半身側からの密着マークで中央へ誘導。その先にいたMF遠藤航がボールを回収した。そしてMF久保建英に縦パスが入り、MF鎌田大地の先制点が生まれた。 「相手がけっこう縦に蹴ってくるという分析があったので、縦の選択肢を切った。そうなった時、中にもドリブルするという癖もあったので。誘いながら、うまく来てくれて、(遠藤)航くんとの距離感も良かったので、良い形で守備はできたのかなと思います」 電光石火の先制点を生み出す舞台を整えた狙い通りの守備は、横のスライドを駆使し味方と連携して守るサイドバック本職の選手らしいプレーでもあった。 「まずは個人で勝っていくところが大前提ですけど、ハメに行く中では素晴らしい相手だった。組織で守ることも同時にやっていかなきゃいけない中では、良い距離感でやれたと思います」 5バック時のウイングバックは、縦スライドを駆使して目の前の相手の突破を阻むという個人での守備力を求められる場面が多い。しかし、4バック時のサイドバック経験が豊富な菅原だからこそ、攻撃に出ようとしたところからの守備対応にもかかわらず、臨機応変に賢く守ることができた。 ■クロス光るも、前半45分で無念の交代 幸先よくチームに貢献した後も、積極的なプレーを続けた。切磋琢磨し共闘してきた同世代の久保と一緒に、プレッシャーを掛けていく。苦し紛れのロングボールを蹴らせた時には、テクニカルエリアの森保監督も拍手を送っていた。15分には縦パスを受ける相手選手のトラップ際にガツンとアプローチ。ファウルと判定されたが、指揮官の目の前でファイトした。 「サイドバックの選手なので、そこでやられていたら、自分の存在価値はないと思っていたので。そこはしっかりやろうとは思ってました」 そして、23分には真骨頂を発揮する。同学年のDF瀬古歩夢からのサイドチェンジに反応すると、久保の落としを収め、右サイドのスペースに抜け出す久保へ絶妙なスルーパスを出す。そのまま久保を猛然と追いかけ、外側から追い越してリターンパスを受け、ワンタッチでクロス。ニアに飛び込んだ小川の頭にピタリと届けた。惜しくもシュートはクロスバーを叩いたが、座席から身体が浮くような決定機を作り出した。 しかし、その2分後には後ろから相手選手を倒してイエローカードを提示された。「ヨーロッパの試合でもそうだし、ああいう部分でカウンターを防ぐとか、前に運ばれて相手が勢いづくというのを考えたら、止める判断をして、僕は今良かったと思っています」と口にしていたが、その直前のプレスを掻い潜られた場面では背中と正面に相手選手が1人ずついる中で後ろのサイドハーフを捨てて前に出る選択をしていた。一瞬の迷いやプレスのオーガナイズの部分で後手に周り、ワンタッチで剥がされ、ボールは一度捨てたサイドハーフの選手のもとへ。プレスバックして追いかけたのは集中していたが、自分のけつを自分で拭くことは回避できたかもしれない。 警告が理由だったかどうかは断言できないものの、前半45分のみで交代となった理由に結びつけることもできてしまう。本大会では勝利のために汚れ仕事を請け負わなければならない状況があるかもしれないが、少しでも多くアピールしたい現状において適切だったとは言い切れない。 「(交代の理由は)監督に聞いてみないとわからない。もちろん試合に勝つためにオーガナイズしていかなきゃいけないというところで、いろいろな理由はあると思いますけど、自分がもっと良いパフォーマンスをしていたらもう少し出れたなというのはあるので、まずはしっかりと試合を見て振り返って反省したいなと思います」と冷静に自分を見つめていた。 「クロスまで行けてるシーンもありましたし、あんまりネガティブじゃないかなと思っています」と45分を振り返ったように、自分のプレーを出せていた感覚はあったはず。その中で、ハーフタイムに唯一の交代。不完全燃焼という言葉がよぎるし、後半にもっとギアを上げてアピールしたかったに違いない。立場を想像すれば、唇を噛みちぎりたくなってしまう。 ■自問自答の連続で、本大会へ しかし、菅原はヤワではない。試合後は同ポジションのライバルであるMF堂安律と抱擁し、健闘を称えていた。その姿に負の感情はないように見えた。W杯本大会まで残すところ5カ月。弱音を吐き、後ろを振り返る時間はない。自分のすべきことは明確だから。 「最終予選からチームとしての形を試してやってきて、素晴らしい結果を手にしているし、その中で自分の立ち位置はわかっている部分もある。ナーバスにならずに、自分の良さを見失わずに、しっかりとチームでやることが大事。自分を良くするために毎日、謙虚に、小さいことも積み重ねながらやっていくことが大事だと思います。代表が、代表がという見方じゃなくて、チームがあっての代表というのは間違いない。今は僕自身もチームで信頼して使ってもらっている部分があるし、自分がやれている部分も課題の部分も試合に出ながら学べている。チームで試合に出ること、出た時にしっかりと自分の存在価値をチームでも見せていくことが代表につながってくると思います。とにかく、自分自身が成長して良い選手になれば、自ずと代表での立ち位置もチームでの立ち位置も変わってくるので、毎日毎日自分と向き合って、自分に負けずにやっていくことが大事だなと思います」 強みのクロスで決定機を作ったという事実に驕るつもりもない。求めているのは、ハッキリとした結果だから。 「入る時もあれば入らない時もあるし、あれを続けていくことが大事だと思う。紙一重のところを合わせていく作業は、自分自身、チームでもやらなきゃいけないし、もっともっとプレーの精度や質は上げられる部分があると思うので。ただ、結果が出る出ないというのは、その時の運もあるんでね。しっかりと日頃から自分を見つめ直して続けていくことが大事だと思います」 右ウイングバックは堂安、伊東純也に加え、望月ヘンリー海輝も成長中で、鈴木淳之介もプレー可能だろう。ライバルとのメンバー争いは熾烈を極めている。もう一度チャンスを得るためには、自問自答を繰り返しながらブンデスリーガの舞台を戦っていくしかない。その先にW杯本大会のピッチがあると信じて。茨の道であっても、菅原由勢は力強く歩み続ける。 取材・文=難波拓未 2025.11.20 21:00 Thu

「全くもってプロではなかった」浅野拓磨を見下した?リュディガーのステップをドイツ代表のレジェンドも問題視「相手を軽んじてはいけない」

ペドロ・ポロのスパーズへの完全移籍が完了! スポルティングが声明を発表
スペイン代表DFペドロ・ポロ(23)のトッテナムへの完全移籍が正式に完了した。 スポルティングCPは2日、ポロの移籍に関する声明を発表。トッテナムへの完全移籍が決定したことを認めた。 「2023年1月31日にスポルティングとトッテナムの間でペドロ・ポロの500万ユーロの一時的引き渡しに関する合意が締結されたことを受け、トッテナムはスポルティングに対し、追加の報酬として同選手のスポーツ権の取得を通知した。金額は4000万ユーロ」 「サードパーティに対する連帯メカニズムの価値はトッテナムが約95%をサポートし、残りの5%をスポルティングが担当することになる」 今回の発表を整理すると、トッテナムは半年間の有償レンタルとして500万ユーロ(約7億9000万円)をスポルティングに支払い、残りの4000万ユーロ(約63億円)を完全移籍移行のために支払う。そして、連帯保証金やスポルティングがマンチェスター・シティから獲得時の契約に盛り込んでいたリセール時のキャピタルゲインの数%の支払いを分担する形で賄う。 なお、ポロ自身はトッテナムと2028年6月までの5年契約を結ぶことになる。 ラージョ・バジェカーノやジローナの下部組織に在籍歴のあるポロは、2019年8月にシティへ加入。だが、トップチームで出場機会はなくバジャドリー、スポルティングへ武者修行。その後、2年のレンタル期間に目覚ましい活躍を披露したスペイン代表DFは、昨年5月にスポルティングに完全移籍となっていた。 トッテナムでは2022-23シーズンの公式戦17試合に出場し、3ゴール3アシストを記録。本職のサイドバックとウイングバックに加え、サイドハーフでもプレーした。 なお、アンジェ・ポステコグルー監督はポロを高く評価しているようで、新体制では右サイドバックのレギュラー候補と目されているという。 2023.07.03 07:30 Mon
