20代の頃には端正な顔立ちに金髪をなびかせる姿から“貴公子”と呼ばれ絶大な人気を誇ったベッカム氏。現在はメジャーリーグ・サッカー(MLS)のインテル・マイアミの共同オーナーを務める一方、プライベートでは、ブルックリン、ロメオ、クルスと3人の息子と、ハーパーという娘をもつ父の顔も持っている。

自身のSNSでも度々子供たちとの様子を投稿するベッカム氏だが、15日にはハーパーちゃんと散歩に出かけたときの写真を掲載。笑顔のショットと唇同士でキスするショットを公開した。

愛情表現の一種ではあるが、ハーパーちゃんが10歳ということもあり、これにはファンから賛否両論の声が。「素晴らしい父と娘の瞬間」、「愛情いっぱい」、「美しい親子愛」といった反応だけでなく、「キスするべきじゃない」、「唇はNG」といった反対の声も多く届いている。さらに、意見が対立するファン同士が対立するような流れも起きている。
