ヴォルフスブルクのFWアドミール・メーメディ(30)が16日、スイス代表からの引退を発表した。
2011年6月にスイス代表デビューを飾ったメーメディは、これまで76試合に出場して10ゴールをマーク。2度のワールドカップとユーロ出場を果たしていた。
先のユーロ2020でも2試合に出場したメーメディはヴォルフスブルクの公式サイトで以下のように語っている。
｢いつ代表に別れを言うかは自分で決めたいと常に思っていた。ユーロで代表のキャリアを終えられることは価値のあることだと思った。代表で長年プレーできたことを誇りに思う｣
2011年6月にスイス代表デビューを飾ったメーメディは、これまで76試合に出場して10ゴールをマーク。2度のワールドカップとユーロ出場を果たしていた。

プーマが7着も破れたスイス代表のユニフォームについて説明「製造段階で欠陥があった」

グラスホッパー川辺駿がアシスト記録も…瀬古歩夢は空中戦に敗れ失点関与

リヒトシュタイナーが現役引退…ユベントスではセリエA7連覇に貢献
元スイス代表DFシュテファン・リヒトシュタイナー(36)が12日、自身の公式SNSを通じて現役引退を発表した。 グラスホッパー、リール、ラツィオを経て2011年にユベントスに加入したリヒトシュタイナー。右ウイングバックや右サイドバックとして長らく不動の地位を築き、在籍7シーズンで公式戦通算259試に出場し、7度のセリエA優勝など数々のタイトルに貢献した。 しかし、晩年は思うように出場機会を得ることができず、2018年の夏にユベントスを退団しアーセナルへ加入。その翌年にはアウグスブルクへと完全移籍した。そのアウグスブルクではブンデスリーガ20試合に出場し1アシストを記録。クラブの1部残留に貢献したが、2019-20シーズン限りで契約満了を迎えていた。 また、2006年にデビューしたスイス代表では、歴代5位となる通算108試合に出場し8ゴール7アシストをマーク。3度のワールドカップ(2010,2014,2018)、2度ユーロ(2008,2016)に出場した。 リヒトシュタイナーは12日に自身のツイッター(@LichtsteinerSte)にメッセージ動画を投稿。その中で｢僕は自分の将来について多くのことを考えており、サッカー選手としてのキャリアに終止符を打つことを決めた｣と、現役引退を決断したことを明かした。 2020.08.12 23:30 Wed
