20日、YBCルヴァンカップ・Aグループ第3節の鹿島アントラーズvs北海道コンサドーレ札幌が県立カシマサッカースタジアムで行われ、3-0で鹿島が勝利した。
ここまで互いに2連勝でグループをリードする両チームの激突。鹿島は直近の徳島ヴォルティス戦から、白崎を除く10人を変更。対する札幌も同じく直近の横浜F・マリノス戦からキム・ミンテ以外の10人を入れ替えた中で、小野が同大会開幕節のアビスパ福岡戦以来となる、今季2度目の先発出場を果たした。
序盤から鹿島が攻勢に出る中、先に決定機を迎えたのはアウェイの札幌。30分、左サイド中央でボールロストから素早く奪い返し敵陣中央の小野に渡すと、これをワンタッチで青木へスルーパス。最終ラインを突破した青木はゴール前に侵入し、ゴールへ流し込みにかかったが、残念ながらシュートは左ポストに嫌われてしまった。
肝を冷やした鹿島だったが、逆にこれが発破をかけることに。32分、札幌がGK大谷にボールを下げたところを松村が猛追。GK大谷のトラップが大きくなったところを奪い、そのままゴールにプッシュした。
さらに鹿島はその2分後、札幌を攻め立てる中でルーカス・フェルナンデスのクリアミスを拾った荒木がボックス左から素早く左足一閃。鋭いシュートがゴール右下に突き刺さった。
ここで決めれば大きく勝利に近づく鹿島だったが、キッカーの染野はシュートを右ポストに当ててしまい、追加点ならず。一方、命拾いした札幌は68分、右サイドを抜け出した金子のクロスからドウグラス・オリヴェイラが決定機を迎えるが、ボックス中央から放ったシュートは、懸命に戻った松村に寸前のところでブロックに入られ、ネットを揺らすことはできなかった。
千載一遇のチャンスを逃してしまった札幌。試合巧者の鹿島はこの機に突き放しにかかる。81分、敵陣左サイドで得たFKで遠藤がクロスを入れると、ボールはファーサイドの染野へ。DFとGKに寄せられシュートを打てなかったが、こぼれ球に反応した関川がGK大谷に倒され、2度目のPK獲得した。今度は途中出場の白崎がキッカーを務め、きっちり決めて決定的な3点目。
このまま試合はタイムアップとなり、連勝同士の一戦は鹿島に軍配。3連勝で単独首位となった。

まるで別人!若返り手術をした元Jリーグ指揮官の現在の姿に海外衝撃「誰か分からない」

鈴木優磨が“金髪”にする理由を告白

鹿島ポポヴィッチ監督が海外紙でJリーグのあれこれ語る「大分時代…」「日本人選手が進化」「優勝争いの予測など不可能」
鹿島アントラーズのランコ・ポポヴィッチ監督が、スペイン『Relevo』のインタビューであれこれ語った。 今季からJ1鹿島を率いるポポヴィッチ監督。 ここまでは、リーグ戦第24節を消化して13勝5分け6敗の3位、YBCルヴァンカップは3回戦敗退、天皇杯は8月開催のラウンド16へ進出…という成績となっている。 Jリーグ5クラブ目の指揮として鹿島を率いるポポヴィッチ監督は、来日当初のサンフレッチェ広島時代(2006〜07年)、Jでの初監督となった大分トリニータ時代(09年)を振り返る。 「私は06年以降、何度か期間を空けながらも日本にいるんだ。最初はミハイロ・ペトロヴィッチのアシスタントコーチとして広島で1年半。ミシャは広島、浦和、札幌で700試合以上指揮を執っているんだよ。彼も私も、オーストリアのシュトゥルム・グラーツでプレーしたという共通点がある」 「その後、UEFAプロコーチ・ライセンスを取得するために欧州へ戻り、09年途中に大分へ監督として向かった。私の就任後だけなら、J1の順位は5位あたりだったんだが…来た時点で14連敗の最下位だったチームを救うことはできなかった。大分が非常に困難な時代だ」 大分での約半年(06年7月〜12月)が、Jリーグでの監督キャリア継続に繋がったとも話す。 「結局、大分はJ2へ降格した。だが、当時大分には日本代表にも呼ばれるような選手が5人いてね。うち4人はまだ若く、私はそこでの仕事が今振り返っても好きだった。『日本人フットボーラーと共に仕事をする』ことのイメージを築けたのは大分時代だ」 「この国の精神性に適応することは不可欠だろう。『ボールは丸い、サッカーはサッカー』と言われるが、ボールに触れるヒトをどう扱うかは別問題だ。監督は心を開かねばならない」 また、2024年現在のJリーグ、日本サッカーについても諸々言及する。 「日本のフットボーラーは進化したね。今やヨーロッパの中枢に日本人選手がたくさんいて、国内に残る選手もヨーロッパでのプレーを目標にしている。今いるチームと個人の目標…バランスをとってもらわねばならないが、正しい方向に進んだとは感じているよ」 「彼らにはそもそもの才能があるからね。それも信じられないほどに。技術的には、世界で最も基礎が伴った国のひとつだろう。自発性に欠けるが、物事がうまくいくと、積極性だって増していく。私は選手たちに『最大の間違いは努力しないこと』と毎日言い聞かせているよ」 「ヨーロッパとJリーグを比較? スポンサーシップの点においてラ・リーガなどと比較することはできないが、それでも強力なリーグだ」 「予算はだいたい3000万〜1億ユーロ(約50億〜167億円)か。国家としてのバックアップが充実していて、もし明日から五輪のような主要大会を開催しろと言われても、釘一本打たずして、それを実現できる国だと思うね」 今季のJ1リーグの優勝争いについては、明言を避けつつ、「なんでも起こりうる」とした。 「地球上のどこを見渡しても起こり得ないことが、日本では起きてしまう。詰まるところ、Jリーグに絶対的な優位性を持つチームはないということだ。誰もが誰にでも勝つことができるのだ。だから、勝者を予測するなど不可能だ」 2024.07.26 17:20 Fri
