『ESPN』の公式ツイッターが、2020年の富士ゼロックス・スーパーカップを再び取り上げた。Jリーグの2020シーズンの幕開けとなった試合は、2019年の天皇杯王者ヴィッセル神戸とリーグ王者の横浜F・マリノスの一戦となったが、両チームあわせて9人連続でのPK失敗という前代未聞の珍事も起きていた。
試合はともにゴールを奪い合い、3-3のスコアで90分を終えてPK戦に突入。どちらも2本目までは成功させたが、互いに3人目から6人目までは、まさかの4人連続失敗。さらに先攻の横浜FMのキッカーだった遠藤渓太もクロスバーに当ててしまい、5人連続の失敗となった。
両チーム合わせて9人連続失敗で迎えた神戸の7人目だった山口蛍が成功させ、神戸がタイトルを獲得していたものの、この珍事は当時大きく話題になった。
1年以上が経ったものの、『ESPN』の公式ツイッターは25日、「史上最悪のPK戦ですか?」と題して、9人連続失敗のシーンを切り取り公開した。

PK失敗の大迫勇也が直接FKを沈める! 逆転成功の神戸が敵地で10人のFC東京を撃破【明治安田J1第3節】
