ポーランドサッカー協会(PZPN)は24日、リーズ所属のMFマテウシュ・クリッヒが新型コロナウイルス検査で陽性反応が出たことを発表した。
また、ポーランド代表としても2011年6月のアルゼンチン代表戦でデビュー。その後は代表に呼ばれない時期もあったものの、リーズで主力を担うようになった2019年からは常に招集を受けるようになり、中盤の要として出場機会を多く得ている。

これにより、クリッヒは25日に控えるカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選のハンガリー代表戦欠場が確定。しかし、翌日の検査では一転して陰性反応が出ており、3度目の検査の結果によってハンガリー戦後にチームと再合流するか否かが決まるとのことだ。クリッヒはポーランド1部のクラコビアで2008年にプロデューを果たすと、ドイツやオランダのクラブを転々とした後、2017年夏に当時チャンピオンシップ(イングランド2部)に所属していたリーズと契約。昨シーズンはチームのプレミアリーグ昇格に大きく貢献すると、今季も中盤の主力選手として公式戦29試合に出場し、2ゴールと活躍を見せている。PR

最速? W杯欧州予選でキックオフ20秒後にレッドカード

「すげえ!頭良い」年間最優秀選手のレヴァンドフスキ、娘の髪を束ねる方法も斬新で一流だった
