スポルティング・リスボンは4日、元ポルトガル代表DFジョアン・ペレイラ(36)が復帰したことを発表した。契約は2021年6月30日まで。
ポルトガル代表で40キャップを持つジョアン・ペレイラはベンフィカの下部組織出身。過去に2度スポルティングに加入した経歴があり、2度目の退団となった2017年1月からはトラブゾンスポルでプレーしていた。
初舞台となったトルコでは4年間で公式戦122試合に出場し3ゴール19アシストを記録したが、今シーズンは公式戦9試合の出場にとどまり、先月25日に双方合意の下で契約解除が発表されていた。
そして今回、スポルティングに3度目の加入となったジョアン・ペレイラはクラブの公式サイトで「この素晴らしいクラブに3度も迎えてもらえて本当に嬉しいよ。初めてサインした時(2010年1月)の同じモチベーションを持っている。歩ピッチ内外でスポルティングを支援していきたい」とコメントを残している。
