昨年11月に現役を引退した元アルゼンチン代表MFのハビエル・マスチェラーノ氏(36)がアルゼンチンサッカー協会(AFA)入りすることになった。
リーベル・プレートでプロキャリアをスタートし、リバプールやバルセロナなどで活躍したマスチェラーノ氏。中国の河北華夏を経てエストゥディアンテスに加入し母国復帰を果たすも、昨年11月に現役引退を表明した。
現役引退後に関しては即指導者転身の可能性も伝えられていたが、セカンドキャリアのスタートに選んだのは、アルゼンチン代表に関する仕事だ。
AFAの発表によると、アルゼンチン代表としても最多147キャップを誇るマスチェラーノ氏は、A代表とユースカテゴリーの間で共通のプレースタイルとフィジカルアプローチを採り入れることを目的に設立される新しい方法論と開発部門のディレクター職に就くという。
同職ではアルゼンチン代表独自のメソッド作りと共に、若手選手の発掘などを行うことになるようだ。

メッシと妻は30年来の仲、幼馴染の2人が結ばれW杯で優勝するまで

54歳バティストゥータ氏がチャリティーマッチでゴール!4年前には左足首を人工関節に置換

「史上最高のセーブ」「神の脚」アルゼンチン代表GKマルティネスが優勝呼び込むセーブの左脚にW杯トロフィーのタトゥー…しかし注目は4本に見える指に「どこに行った?」
