ユベントスやミランでプレーした元イタリア代表MFノチェリーノが現役引退

ミランなどでプレーした元イタリア代表MFアントニオ・ノチェリーノ(34)が現役引退を発表した。

ユベントスのユース出身のノチェリーノは、ユベントスやジェノア、パレルモ、ミラン、トリノ、パルマなどでプレー。また、ウェストハムやMLS(メジャーリーグ・サッカー)のオーランド・シティなど国外でもプレーした。

2018年12月にベネヴェントを退団以降、所属先がない状態が続いていたが、23日に自身のインスタグラム(antonocerino)を更新。感謝の気持ちを述べるとともに引退を表明した。

「痛みを伴うが、考え抜いた決断です。僕は満足感があり、父の夢を実現することが、自分の夢にもなりました」

「プレーしたクラブ、監督、チームメイト、そして多くのサポートと愛情をもって色々なことを学ばせてくれた多くのファンに感謝します」

また、セカンドキャリアとして指導者の道を歩むことも発表し、現役時代と同じ気持ちで臨むと明かしている。

「指導者としての新しい挑戦をすることに決めました。サッカー選手として自分が持っていたものと同じ精神、情熱、愛、プロフェッショナリズムを見つけることができ、美しく、新しい困難な挑戦になるでしょう」

ノチェリーノは、セリエAで247試合に出場し21ゴール15アシスト、セリエBで118試合に出場し6ゴール、コッパ・イタリアで24試合出場を記録。また、プレミアリーグでは10試合1アシスト、チャンピオンズリーグでは15試合1ゴール2アシスト、ヨーロッパリーグでは8試合に出場、MLSでは52試合1ゴールを記録していた。

イタリア代表としても15キャップを記録し、2012年のユーロに出場していた。
