昨夏に25年過ごしたユベントスを退団しゼニトを新天地に選んだマルキジオ。初の海外挑戦となった中、序盤戦で2ゴールを挙げるなど、屈指の司令塔であることを証明していた。しかし、今年2月に膝蓋骨軟骨症を発症。4月にその手術を受けてシーズンを終えると、7月に双方合意の上でゼニトを退団していた。
今回の報道によれば、マルキジオはミラノにある“フォーシーズンズホテル”でモナコとの交渉を行っており、現在は詳細を詰める最終段階に入っているとのこと。

あわや失明の大事故…ドンナルンマは試合後に相手DFと笑顔でハグ、モナコはSNSでの人種差別発言に声明「可能な限り強い言葉で非難する」
