▽チャンピオンシップ(イングランド2部相当)のリーズ・ユナイテッド移籍が決定した日本代表MF井手口陽介がさっそく同クラブのファンに自己紹介した。

▽リーズとガンバ大阪は日本時間4日、井手口の完全移籍加入合意を発表。その井手口は今週、リーズのメディカルを受けた後、イギリスの労働ビザ発給手続きの結果を問わず、スペイン2部のクルトゥラル・レオネサに期限付き移籍する。

▽夢だった海外挑戦の一歩を踏み出す井手口は、たどたどしさが残るものの、幼さ残る笑顔と共にクラブ公式ツイッター(@LUFC)で英語を駆使して挨拶。クラブのアンセムにもなる『Marching on together』の言葉を用い、ファンに挨拶した。

田中碧の同僚ニョントがイタリア代表“復帰”? 過去1年はU-21年代優先もリーズで納得感あるパフォーマンス

リーズやバーリで活躍した元南アフリカ代表FWマシンガ氏が49歳で急逝

かつてリーズやバーリで活躍した元南アフリカ代表FWフィル・マシンガ氏(享年49)が逝去した。南アフリカ共和国サッカー協会(SAFA)が13日にレジェンドの訃報を伝えた。現役時代に190cmを超える大型ストライカーとして活躍したマシンガ氏は、母国マメロディ・サンダウンズでの活躍を経てリーズやザンクト・ガレン、サレルニターナ、バーリ、アル・ワフダといった国外のクラブでプレー。南アフリカ代表としては1992年から2001年までプレーし、通算58試合の出場で18ゴールを記録していた。 13日にSAFAのダニー・ジョーダン会長は、「南アフリカサッカー界にとって今日は悲しい一日となりました。マシンガ氏はピッチ内外でゲームに真摯に向き合う素晴らしい人物でした」と、マシンガ氏の訃報を伝えた。なお、現時点でマシンガ氏の死因などに関する詳細は明かされていない。 2019.01.13 23:45 Sun
